"Weekend that should have never happen in Williamsburg VA"

Went there for nice family weekend to visit family. Walked in lobby to check in and it was a gauntlet of rude sales people trying to get you to go to presentation for resort. After being pushed extremely hard we went the next morning. The 90 minute presentation turned into hours of manipulation , lies, coerced sales people saying it was a vacation club new way of vacationing. When we asked many times. Is this a Timeshare? They said no many times over and over. They worked us hard and gave stout again saying it was a vacation club not a Timeshare. They told us we would save thousands vacationing with them. When we told them how much spent vacations in the past they said”Hell No” you will never pay that again. Lies lies! We said we taking road trip cross country and going to Iceland . They said their company can setup all that. Lies lies! After all was over that day we signed on thinking it would work. By the time got home we sent cancellation. Letter. They called us and talked us into not canceling and join at reduced rate. Still saying it’s a vacation club not a Timeshare, lies lies . Signed on again! Stupid us . So we tried to use it on road trip. Total fail with vacations to go app and no help from them. We used trivago hotels.com much easier and cheaper . We called to get help for our Iceland trip . Again total fail! They had no knowledge of Iceland area and accommodations . Thank you AAA , they knew what to do and saved us still have been trying to get out of contract. So far they don’t listen and tell us we have no proof that the sales people are like I described . Bad bad horrible company to deal with! Stay away from club Wyndham travel leisure resort. Also the room we stayed smelled and was horrible noise experience.

"Enjoyed the stay"

Our stay was great ! Staff were great and very helpful! Just wish they would change the check in process. Took us 45+ min I believe and we had to check in at one counter. Then go to another desk to get our room key and hear the pitch to get us to go to the 90 min timeshare meeting.

"Come see sister and some snow"

"Would have been nice, except for their policy decisions"

The unit was pretty nice. BUT... I had a second story, 1 BR, 1 BA, full kitchen side of a lockout. Very generously sized. Looked attractive, except the cheap sheet vinyl flooring - a very bad imitation of hardwood flooring. Not Home Depot quality. Think WalMart. Building 3, unit 201. No elevator. Living room furniture was very uncomfortable. Not worn out - just never was comfortable in the first place. The mattress was a kinda worn and saggy, but comfortable enough. There were five pillows, all long past their prime. Roomy shower. Only a fixed shower head. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. A clean cloth curtain. This unit had a stacking washer/dryer. You'll soon encounter an error code, E3, on the washer. No explanation anywhere. I finally figured it out. They don't supply hot water to the washer. Cold only. If you select warm or hot wash - you get the error code and you're on your own to figure it out. BAD MANAGEMENT DECISION! You are responsible for washing your own towels - without hot water. And think about this... so were the people there before you. Fortunately, they haven't yet shut off the hot water to the dishwasher... Now, check-in… The first person is all smiles and care bears. Then you get handed off to the "consierge." His job is to get you to give up one of your mornings, get your butt in a chair for the high intensity sales pitch. "Buy our time share program now! It's SO much better than the time share you are struggling to get out of!" And he takes his job VERY seriously! And he's the guy that gives you your keys - but only after he verbally shakes you down with every possible tactic to get you to that sales pitch. Bribes, acting personally offended. Even after dozens of NOs, and you get your keys, you will get texted with more hounding. I finally replied STOP. Not sure if they respected that, because I also blocked the number. Ya... Welcome to Williamsburg. THIS MADE THE PLACE MISERABLE. The keys... they are a chip on a wristband. No human wrist flexes to the position of touching that chip to the sensor pad on the door. Especially if you are carrying anything like luggage or groceries. I found it easiest to slip the band down over my knuckles, then fist bump the chip to the sensor pad.

"Don't arrive before 7"

Location, layout of the room and price.

The shower pressure was terrible, it was VERY inconvenient that the office wasn't open past 7. We got in around 11 and went to the sister facility and ended up sitting at the gate for 10-12 mins as a security guard wasn't paying attention to his surroundings and we had to wait for him to notice us to let us in. And the process of getting checked in only to have to go to the other office the next day to check in again for room keys.
