Ocean Forest Villas by Elliott Beach Rentals

No umbrella at table. [It was fixed upon request.] Thermostat off and on all week [78 degrees]. Time to put portable air conditioners but not time to put in thermostat to fix the problem. At least the elevator worked all week [yea!]. We love the privateness of the facility. Knowing most of the guests is a plus. Becky is now handicapped. She has to use a walker. That makes steps a problem. We can still handle them at this time. However the elevator is now a necessity for getting to the 2nd floor.

Been coming here for 30 years now. Lots of great memories with the family and the friends we see each year we return. As owners we get the same unit the same week every year as do other owners . Some units are available for very reasonable prices. we love it.

Not your fanciest place but it is nice, has everything you need, is a small resort, and the location is excellent! There are not many places you can rent kayaks and surfboards and keep them at your resort. If you do this, go with Kokopelli!

Several spots of kitchen floor buckling to the point you feel you may fall thru. Particle board exposed on kitchen table. Grungy pots, pans and utensils. Mismatched decor is glued together. Twin size fitted sheet stretched on a full size bed. Unit requires a serious necessary overhaul.

Check-in starts at 3 pm. We arrived shortly after, around 3:15 pm. We were told our room was not quite ready yet, so we left to get food and returned an hour later. Our room was still not ready and the employee on the phone told us that it may be ready any time between the current time and 7 pm, and to just wait until we receive a text that it is ready. This is unacceptable, as we are visiting from out of state and cannot go anywhere else.

We have stayed here since I was a young girl. I am now in my 40's, it had been since 2013 when I last stayed here. I checked in and we started unloading. I got ready to take the kids swimming, only to be met with a sign stint the pools and hot tubs were closed. This was never told to us, not on the website, no email sent, so I returned to the office to get our money back and move to somewhere with a pool.It was closed, no one on the phone could help me. Our view is the hotel pool across the street with many people swimming in it. We will not be returning. The units have been updated some, but the paneling has been painted so much it is warping off of the walls. There were 9 girls in the condo above us, and they were extremely loud. It states no partying or noise. We have young children, so it was disappointing to know they leased a condo college age kids to party. There were several noise complaints in the registry book for this condo along with cleaning complaints. I cleaned the condo again, including washing the trash cans because they were filthy with no bags in them. Supposedly, a cleaning service cleans this unit, but I can assure you it was much cleaner and disinfected after we left with our three kids than before we arrived there. These are no longer family based condos, the level of clientel has decreased tremendously with several condos having well over the 6 person maximum. This will be our last visit to the Ocean Forest Villas.

This resort has very nice pools and spas and a very long stretch of gorgeous beach. NOTE: each villa is privately owned and uniquely decorated. Most are rented through Vrbo so look at the pictures, choose carefully and you will want to return again and again. Each year new owners are purchasing and remodeling so offerings are varied but most are upscale and fabulous. Location, comfort, fun, & breathtaking balcony views are all present at OFV for less $ than a single hotel room.

Great time of ear to enjoy the Myrtle Beach shows, shopping and food! Ocean Forrest was clean, excellent ocean view apartment. Some of the items in the room were somewhat dated, but overall a great vacation!

My big complaint was the 3 fry pans were dirty. I notified the office and they said it would be taken care of. It wasn't so I put them in Dishwasher on pot and pan cycle. though they still needed scrubbing. Also the the AC could not be turned on.

Loved the location! Steps away from the beach. Unobstructed beach view. Condo was clean, everything needed in kitchen to cook, washer/dryer, the beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean. We stayed in a corner bottom unit and were quite pleased that we were not able to hear anything from next door and very little from above ( a chair scooting across the floor a few times). You do have to cross a two lane street to access the beach but it was easily crossed and less steps to the beach than some of the larger hotels we’ve stayed at. This has by far been our favorite accommodations we’ve stayed while visiting the area and we come to Myrtle a couple of times a year and have always tried different accommodations. We will be returning to this one! If there were rocking chairs on the balcony it would be perfect ( we are old lol).😉
