Das Hotel ist prima, schön eingerichtet, tolle Bar, sehr schöne Atmosphäre, gutes Frühstück, schöne gratis Apéritifstunde, prima Lage, alles fußläufig. Trotz kleiner Mängel (siehe unten) würde ich das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Was ärgerlich ist, sind die Zusatzkosten - Bei der Buchung "Frühstück inbegriffen", erwarte ich, dass ich keine zusätzlichen Kosten habe, wenn ich einen Tee und die übliche Eier und Speck Mahlzeit bestelle. Dem ist aber nicht so. Man erhält einen 45 Dollar Voucher, nur leider kostet das Frühstück für zwei schon 42, plus Tee, Steuern und Trinkgeld. Auch sollte man sich von den Parkkosten nicht blenden lassen - vor dem Haus ist ein Riesenparkplatz, der rund 20 Dollar billiger ist als das Hotel. Dennoch ist es ein tolles Hotel.

I’ve visited New Orleans many times before, but this stay at Hotel Fontenot was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had in the city. From the moment I checked in until the day I left, the service was flawless. Alex C, Raye, and Stormy went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — their friendliness and attention to detail truly made a difference. The hotel itself is stunning, with an unbeatable location that puts you right in the heart of everything. The restaurants and bar were all exceptional, offering some of the best food and drinks I’ve had in New Orleans. Every corner of this property radiates style and warmth. I honestly can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Hotel Fontenot, for making this trip unforgettable!

Amazing experience, the place was beautiful but overall the service and the food were spectacular. Felt like home. We’ll definitely come back!

I enjoyed the cafe in the lobby. That was the icing on the cake. I also enjoyed the restaurant and the staff they were excellent

Beautiful hotel, I would call it a boutique category. The hotel staff is the best I’ve ever had in New Orleans! Deaveon checked us in, got us a great room and answered all our questions. Tory, was outside the front door the first night, we had an amazing conversation (his big paws are worth hand shanking multiple times, just saying) and then we had Stormi, she’s the overnight desk agent that kept me company while I waited for me 2 AM Uber Eats. I hope they don’t raise the rates with the business I’m going to throw them but the people this hotel employees makes it what it is, AMAZING

I was charged for items in the mini fridge that I did not use I added my own drink into the fridge. You should let us know that this is monitored by moving objects

Rooms comfortable and a good location.

The mandatory amenity fee is unreasonable and means we will not return. Also, the breakfast is not included but an allowance is provided, which is insufficient to buy a decent breakfast for two at King’s. While the allowance is $45, the minimum breakfast for two is $55 before tip. Also, on the first day, the breakfast was served cold and the service was a shambles, though the manager compensated us when we complained. The second day we tried Gospel, where the food was awful and the service surly. On checkout, we were told that the breakfast allowance was only usable at King’s though this is not what we were told on checkin, though the charge for Gospel was removed.

Stayed here for four nights in a premium city view room. The front desk staff were all super helpful and friendly all the time; really appreciated that. Was on 16th floor, out of 18 floors. Very nice room and view of the city. Was spacious and mostly functional except for not the brightest lighting in the bathroom, which the wife didn’t like. Room was relatively quiet except some guests nearby would just let their door slam, which is ridiculous but not the hotels fault. A/C worked well. They have complimentary passes at front desk to cover streetcars and buses, which is great. Had breakfast included, which covers up to $45 per day. Ate breakfast at Kings restaurant one day and was very good and large portions. Other days went to the smaller Gospel restaurant where you order at the counter and can get smaller items, though had plenty to choose from and was excellent. Basically, you charge everything to the room, and then at check out they will calculate the amount of credit (up to $45 per day); and credit that from your bill. Location is convenient to Bourbon Street, restaurants, riverfront, and Garden district (latter via streetcar). The area is nice and fairly quiet at night, and safe to walk around. There are a few convenience stores within 2-3 blocks for getting provisions at a reasonable cost. Caesars casino is a 3 minute walk if you want to play a few games. Overall enjoyed the stay at this property and would stay again when in NOLA.
