Holiday Inn Express Swindon City Centre by IHG

The hotel was very welcoming & clean, our room had everything we needed.

The car park was very limited and no other carpark could be recommended by reception that was nearby; we ended up on a pavement in a pedestrian area, not ideal. The message at reception stated that breakfast times on the weekend were very busy so best to visit early; we went to breakfast about 9am, the restaurant was half full but found it difficult to find a table for 4 that was clear, lots of dirty plates & cups. The hot breakfast buffet was disappointing as there was very little available (no sign of vegetarian sausage option), the bread for the toaster had all gone, no muffins and no glasses for the fruit juice. I imagine if we had waited around longer the buffet may have been topped up but rather disappointing.

Staff were friendly, location was okay.

1 lift working, also just kept going up and down, ended up using stairs which isn’t great on 4th floor and two kids. Once the sofa bed was out there was no space in the room, the shower was poor and didn’t have much pressure. Just very tight and compact which when you have kids doesn’t work, should have gone to premier inn. Probably would do for cheap no thrills 1 night stay.. Had message about parking which was a large extra cost,

Clean, comfortable, large room. Great breakfast, can’t expect anything more. Great price.

The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good.

Room was not well lit. Didnot had a bath as i expected for the price. The kid bed was not comfortable

The lift was out of order otherwise everything was fine..
