Nightcap at Burnie Townhouse

Good location. Staff member Tammy did her best to help when we had multiple issues with rooms when checking in

Checked into assigned room to find ariel cord from tv hanging down with no apparent socket for it to go into .. given another room by staff (Tammy did her best to assist) only to find upon entering it was still uncleaned from the previous guest .. moved to a 3rd room which was made up .. woke up in morning after reasonable sleep and left sign on door asking for room to be made up .. returned to room after day out to find room uncleaned .. extent of cleaning amounted to clean towels in a bag left outside the door ... when checking out raised said issues with staff at the front counter who stated "Oh rooms don't get cleaned on a weekend" (so, if 30 rooms are vacated they can't be re used until at least Monday night ? ... Great business sense .. not )even though wife and I observed cleaning staff doing rooms when we exited Sunday morning .. Overall a very disappointing stay and would find it difficult to recommend it to anyone who was considering visiting Burnie.

It smelled bad in my room. It also had a refrigerator that kept me up all night with a noisy compressor, but the staff changed it out as I asked them to. I also had to pay twice as much for the second night as I did for the first and this is a lousy business model. I won’t go back.

Clean, tidy room. Comfortable bed and pillows..quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly
