The Residence at Vila Porto Mare

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful location.

Ein wunderschönes Hotel, mit sehr gutem Frühstück und tollen Pools. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.

Beautiful, beautiful hotel, lovely gardens and facilities. Room was well equipped with everything we could need including spare towels for pool/spa. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a room facing the road which was noisy but it was changed with no fuss to quiet inward facing. Fantastic choice and quality of breakfast. Half hour walk into Funchal which we preferred to irregular bus service. Large supermarket close by if needed.

Excellent accommodation and very helpful and friendly staff

Very comfortable, quiet, and clean with excellent staff. However, a bit remote from the centre of town, particularly now that they have ceased their in-house shuttle service.

My husband and I had a great stay at The Residence. The breakfast buffet was vast and delicious. The property is beautiful to walk around. Although you cannot access the ocean from the property, the views are amazing and you can easily access the water nearby. Lots of beautiful walking areas nearby as well as restaurants. The hotel pools were lovely as were the restaurants and free entertainment. The staff was helpful and the facility was immaculate. Our room had a beautiful room, was clean and comfortable amd had amazing water pressure. We would definitely return.

The property was simply beautiful and convenient to most restaurants and shops

We enjoyed our stay, especially with the room upgrade. The view from the hotel was breathtaking. The hotel is central to everything.
