Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa

We were really excited to start our vacation off at Hammock Beach. Unfortunately, we had a bad customer service experience and will not be back. The pool staff went around taking everyone’s orders but did not acknowledge us. Then, we were turned down from Delphinis for “wearing bathing suits” despite being dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. It felt discriminatory and personal towards my husband. The Atlantic grills sat us immediately after despite having the same dress code. It’s unfortunate spending a lot of money to have an elite experience and feel welcomed. We did not feel that way at all.

A very nice property, very average and over-priced food. Very friendly staff. Rooms are decorated in an old fashioned, heavy style, if you like that

Everything about the golf and accommodations was excellent. My only complaint was at the ocean bar near the driving range served me a burnt pretzel bun cheeseburger and the bun so hard I could not bite through it.

We spent a weekend with old friends and had a great time enjoying the beach, pools and dining. The property is impressive with all it has to offer. The dining options are varied and we never had to leave which was perfect for us! The buildings and rooms are a bit dated in style but all are kept clean and the service was excellent!

We were with 3 other couples for a golfing getaway. A beautiful location with well maintained public areas inside and very nice outside areas including the pools, walking paths, and beach. The hotel, restaurant, and golf course staff were excellent -- helpful, accommodating, and cheerful. Our hotel rooms were very clean but were a bit tired and worn -- in serious need of updating/remodeling. Certainly not what we expected at this price point, compared to other resorts at a similar price point. The Atlantic Grill serves very good breakfast fare (5/5) and ok dinners (3/5) The Italian Chop House serves good dinner, 4 out of 5 stars. Very good lighter fare is available at the sports bar (5/5) and at the Pool Bar/Restaurant (4/5) The Ocean Course is in fantastic condition and a dream to play with its interesting design and beautiful vistas. The pro shop staff were outstanding, The Conservatory Course, located approximately 9 miles from the resort, was in reasonably good condition and is a very challenging layout. Nonetheless, we will never return to the Conservatory Course. While it has nice facilities for "members" it has no restaurant or locker room for resort guests. The pro shop staff were cordial, but clearly at the Conservatory Course they want the guests' money, but nothing else. There was no locker room for guests at the Ocean Course either, which was a bit annoying (It would be nice to have a place sit down to change shoes and to change shirts after a round -- nothing fancy), We may return to play the Ocean Course, but would first explore other lodging accommodations on the property, rather than in the main hotel building. We did not take advantage of their extensive swimming pools, which looked quite good, nor the putting course, which was closed for maintenance. Overall, what could have been an outstanding experience was reduced to more-or-less- good one due to the shortcomings noted here. Of course, your mileage may vary, based on your expectations.

The Hammock Beach team is fantastic, wanting to help, and very kind. They have many different types of pools.and activities for all.l type of family dynamics.

Staff was very friendly and all of the facilities were well maintained.

Seriously, needs an update and cleaning. It is completely outdated. Peeling paint everywhere, dirt and general uncleanliness, algae film over the pond, inattentive staff in the restaurants, and poor food choices. For the price you’re not getting what was promised in the descriptions. Not by a longshot.
