Axel Hotel San Sebastián - Adults Only

Lovely large rooms, we got upgraded to a room with a balcony. It was clean tidy and the bed very comfortable. The staff were really helpful with suggestions of places to eat and visit during our time. We parked at the underground carpark and staff were accommodating with letting us leave the car there for a few hours post check out.

The rooftop pool area was very busy but it was unseasonably hot during our stay so this is to be expected. The shower in our room was occasionally fiddly with the temperature randomly dropping to raising midway through

Bella la posizione, bello l'albergo, comoda la doccia. Apprezzo l'ambiente rilassato. Tranquilla la zona. Il centro è vicino. C'è un parcheggio all'aperto poco distante.

Proprio il parcheggio è la nota dolente: sebbene ci fosse un parcheggio molto economico poco distante da noi, ci hanno suggerito di parcheggiare in un parcheggio a pagamento molto costoso (30 euro al giorno nonostante la convenzione con l'hotel). La camera inoltre è un po' piccola.

Breakfast excellent. Bed's great. Large shower.

No shelf in bathroom which would have been handy. No headboard. No magnifying mirror.

The staff were professional, competent and very friendly. The breakfast was really excellent

The layout of the room was awkward - we both banged our heads on the glass shelf directly behind the pillows. Also there was nowhere to hand wet towels after showering.

Uitgebreid ontbijt, heel behulpzaam personeel. Parkeren onder het hotel met elektrisch oplaadpunt voor de auto.

De foto's suggereren een veel groter zwembad buiten, met groen. Het was echter klein en ongezellig. Ook ons balkon was kaal. De loopruimte in de kamer was krap, vreemd ingedeeld. We sliepen onder het zwembad en hoorden constant een irritante brom.

The room was beautifully fitted out, clean and well presented. The overall decor of the hotel was modern and comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and keen to share recommendations of restaurants and places to visit.

The shower was decent, however, the floor was incredibly slippery. Our room didn't have a scenic view, but the large window made the room bright and well-lit.
