"Lovely stay in SLO"

10.0

Our stay was perfect. We had a last minute need to stay the night in SLO & we are so glad we found San Luis Creek Lodge, we’ll definitely be back. The host at checkin was lovely & the coffee & pastry’s were the nicest touch!

"Great stay!"

10.0

We loved our stay at San Luis Creek Lodge! The room was spacious and immaculate. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were luxurious. There is noise but you’re staying in a downtown area, so it’s to be expected. Coffee and pastries were delivered with a morning meditation guide - everything was well thought and and executed.

10/10 I love everything about this place and will be staying here every time I come to town moving forward - comfortable beds, great linens, and towels love the products in the shower, love the breakfast that get dropped off, and the use of the bikes for guests has been amazing.

"Perfect little hotel in a quiet part of town"

10.0

Really enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet rooms and lovely pastries in the morning. It’s a 20-30 minute walk to downtown which was perfect for us.

"Disappointing on almost every level"

2.0

Front desk staff good, tried to be as helpful as possible. "Craine" especially helpful and arranged for early check out of complimentary cruiser bike; bike was what one would expect for free. Both of our backs were hurting in AM which is very unusual. Worst hotel mattress in over 35 years! Only chairs in room did not provide back support. One short backed desk chair & rounded rattan chair w/o back support. We were very uncomfortable entire stay The fridge had 22 drinks I had to remove to allow us to store our food/drinks. If you want to offer so many drinks for purchase, provide a larger fridge. Also fridge was barely cool and I could not make cooler. Fridge temp ~50 degrees, I was worried I would get food poisoning from left overs stored overnight from dinner. 2 garbage containers so tiny we overfilled and had several items on floor after 2 days; no recycling offered. No filtered water self service access anywhere so I bothered front staff twice daily to fill our reusable water bottles. Parking lot very small and cramped, parked in very front and walked to very back. We paid over $700 a night (rodeo and open house weekend, ugh) and supposedly Michelin rated, really? Worst place we have stayed at in >30 years, regardless of nightly price. The carpets leading up outside stairway were dirty and stained, laminate floors in room old/worn. When first entered room after 4 PM bathroom reeked of rank feces. We had to keep putting fan on x hours The sunlight in bath was nice. The window looked out to ill maintained creek space, dual paned window was broken/rust stained and intra-pane space filled with old organic debris. I am serious mold reactor, thankfully interior window seemed intact so I did not react. TV so small, watched ipad instead. Caramels and GF muffins good. Thanks for having gf option! Almost never bother to rate, rec to avoid this one!

"This hotel is very well maintained and they do think of the details. It was a little pricey, and a little noisy. Staff w"

I liked the little things like coffee and croissants brought to the room in early morning. Or, the little treats given at the end of our stay.

Not being able to black out the room at night time or being able to hear when the neighbors turned on their showers or walked around. The price was a little steep. I also thought I was getting a room with a fireplace in it, and I did not.

"Great design in SLO"

10.0

We took a road trip and stayed at numerous 5 star hotels (including a Ritz Carlton). But this was my wife's favorite hotel. It had a wonderful design aesthetic and some nice unexpected surprises, like delicious pastries delivered to our door in the morning.
