The Farmhouse at Veritas

One of the best experiences I've ever had. Hands down the best food at any bed and breakfast. The staff, food, wine, views were more than expected and we had high expectations going in. We felt like queens the entire time. They made us feel right at home during our stay and didn't miss a single detail. Don't hesitate your next visit.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Farmhouse. It was a great experience! The grounds, inn, and our room were impeccable; the food and wine were superb, and the staff courteous and helpful. This is an excellent place to get away and relax. We found this to be a visit well worth the price.

An absolutely superb experience, from start to finish, every detail of our stay was excellent, nothing overlooked Our room, Cornwall was lovely, spacious, with a cozy seating area The public gathering rooms are beautifully decorated, a nice spot to enjoy the nightly wine hour, which was an opportunity to meet & converse with other guests Dinner was served in one of the formal dining areas-service was impeccable & each course was gourmet, Chef came to each dining room to interact with guests Breakfast was served on the lovely porch, with chef explaining each choice Cannot say enough about the staff, Jonathan greeted us upon arrival, was professional & engaging. Dining staff was very attentive, not at all intrusive.

If you are reading this review…. My suggestion is to not look any further. This property, the staff, food and views are spectacular….. I am very grateful that my husband snd I had the opportunity for this incredible experience. It is worth the money.

Beautiful hotel, and friendly helpful staff.

This Bed and Breakfast offers true 5 Star Service. The rooms are all large and unique. the breakfast was out of this world. They really focus on service they strive to keep everyone comfortable and happy. We did have dinner one evening of our two night stay and the wine was delicious and service again was equal to a 5 star restaurant. The chef's are personable and will make any dietary accomodation that you request. The bedding is luxurious, the grounds stunning. Its a great overnight if you want to enjoy the Virginia wine country.

We visited to celebrate a birthday, and could not have asked for more! We checked in to our room (Cornwall) around 4.30pm. It was immaculate - very clean, spacious and with a reading 'nook' and plenty of storage. The bed is huge, and was so, so comfortable. It was complete with a variety of USB chargers for mobile phones and a wider range of complimentary toiletries and a bottle of wine - great details! There are plenty of other areas, outside of the room, to read/ relax - sofas, verandas, porch, garden etc. You instantly feel revived, and I wished we had arrived earlier! There were fresh cookies and coffee/tea/soft drinks available throughout our time, and a shared fridge for resident use too. 5-6pm is 'wine hour' in the 'Gathering Room' (a cozy lounge with fire, sofas, books and a billiard table) with complimentary wine and a plate of small nibbles each. The Farmhouse really does elevate "Bed and Breakfast" to a whole new (fantastic) level! The evening meal (which you can book without staying), officially began at 6.15pm with a glass of sparkling wine, before we moved to our tables. The 4-course meal (no choices, although they cater for allergies etc - that suited us fine) pairs wine with the food - we were pleased to be staying over rather than one of us having to abstain and drive! The meal was European in style - small, perfectly cooked and presented portions which were a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The service was slick and, apart from a small delay before we started, was very efficient. Breakfast the following morning was equally wonderful - sparkling wine, fresh orange juice and coffee, a croissant with homemade sweet cream cheese, fresh fruit followed by a choice of savoury or sweet 'main course'. As we left, we were sent away with a couple more cookies for the journey, and a lasting positive impression of a wonderful stay.

What a beautiful B&B. Our room was lovely, comfy bed, ALL channels available on the TV and loved our welcome bottle of Veritas wine. The vineyard and farm are beautiful, and their wine tasting venue is not to be missed. Wow. And the wine pairing dinner! Simple elegance with outstanding food and service. An experience not to be missed. We loved it and will return.
