The Farmhouse at Veritas

What a wonderful experience from start to finish! Went to the vineyard tasting room in the afternoon upon our arrival. Excellent wines and views of the property. Stayed at the Farmhouse in the Devon room and was very pleased with the house, service and availability to sit in many different area of the house and relax. That night, had the fabulous 4 course meal prepared by chefs Cody and Rafael. Each course was delicious and paired with a chosen wine. Danielle David, the service manager and Keily (a server) were very attentive as were all of the servers. The next day for breakfast, the chefs once again preparer a fantastic made to order meal. He even came out to our table and explained the choices and described the meal! Truly a wonderful visit in a beautiful part of Virginia!

My husband and I stayed in the barn, just a few steps from the main Farmhouse. It was immaculate, very comfortable, and decorated beautifully with lovely antiques. Every detail was thought of - two gratis bottles of wine, fresh cookies, coffee service, cold water bottles, toiletries, comfy bathrobes, working gas fireplace, comfortable beds, tv, stunning large kitchen, views of the grape arbors all around, rocking chairs on the front porch, sweet grazing sheep and their donkey in the pasture next to us which we visited more than once during our stay. Breakfast in the morning at the farmhouse was served out back in a glass enclosed patio that was superb! Champagne, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, fresh fruit, and croissants were served while we waited for our main course, all the while listening to Sinatra in the background. Two main course options were offered; the food quality was amazing. The staff was top notch! Gabby greeted us when we arrived the night before, and also managed the breakfast team. We were super impressed with her the whole visit! I can't stress enough how professional and pleasant she and the whole staff were. Highly recommend!

Our trip to The Farmhouse at Veritas was just what I needed to renew and energize. The summer was so busy and September was stressful. An early October stay at The Farmhouse brought back my mental and physical fortitude. The staff was incredible, the accommodations were perfect, and the food paired perfectly with the wine. The chefs at The Farmhouse are excellent and the waitstaff during meals are so attentive. The innkeepers made certain every request was fulfilled. I highly recommend The Farmhouse at Veritas.

Spent a night at The Farmhouse at Veritas, a absolutely wonderful experience. We had planned on arriving around 3pm, however traffic delays got us there around 4pm. Our room (Nottingham) was excellent. After check in we went to the Tasting Room, also excellent. After a quick glass of Veritas wine it was back to the Farmhouse where we spent a delightful hour on the porch with the owner and the property manager (and a few more glasses of Veritas wine). We did not partake in the offered 4 course meal, however those guests that did reported that it was also excellent. We declined as we had been eating big meals at Biltmore and our waistline was suffering, so we went a lighter route. When (not if) we return we will certainly dine at The Farmhouse. The room was quiet and comfortable, and next morning we stayed for the included breakfast which is not to be missed! The Farmhouse at Veritas is a absolute delight and should not be missed.

Our stay at the Farmhouse at Veritas was lovely. We were traveling with another couple, and the Barn Cottage was perfect with 2 BR and 2 baths. The breakfast was delicious, and nice that they offered a savory or sweet selection.

I booked two nights here to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary and I am now a hero in my wife's eyes. We arrived about an hour before the 3pm check-in and were invited to relax in any seating area (there are plenty on and off the various porches), or walk the beautiful grounds. It did not take the full hour before we were shown to our beautiful room with views of their vineyards and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Though all rooms were occupied, if you wanted solitude for reading (or knotting), it was easy to find your own space. Throughout the day, there was coffee, tea, and freshly baked cookies always available. Walking the grounds was enjoyable with horses, sheep, and a friendly donkey to interact with. Their wonderful winery (good wine and food) is a simple 10-minute walk from the house. Their breakfast was incredible. We elected to venture out rather than have dinner but other guests raved about it. All in all, it was a relaxing, tasty, 5-star experience. If we celebrate another anniversary, we shall return.

This is our second visit at the Barn Cottage at The Farmhouse at Veritas. Simply delicious. The accommodations, the views, the welcome, the skies, the outdoor space, the Wine Hour, the breakfast in the garden gazebo--with white tablecloth service. Thank you all. And thank you, Veritas Winery staff--our lunch sandwiches were superb (and the wine--even more excellent than a year ago!).

Our experience at the Farmhouse was magnificent! It is a first-class experience all the way. There are views everywhere and lovely outdoor seating places. Service was excellent and professional. We stayed in the Cornwall room: beautiful, comfortable, quiet. The breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed the tasting menu one evening. It was one of the most memorable meals we have ever had. The winery and wine that accompanied the Farmhouse were equally wonderful. We rarely repeat a place or experience, but we are already talking about when we can return here.

The location at the Veritas winery was beautiful. The rooms were lovely, the service terrific, and the breakfast divine! We can't wait to go back.

Exceptional hotel. Outstanding service. Beautiful surroundings. Amazing breakfast prepared by chef with different choices each morning accompanied by French pressed coffee, fresh squeezed juice and Prosecco - we did not have the opportunity for dinner as we were there for a wedding, but we will definitely go back.
