Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and the owner kindly offered to upgrade us from a room on site to one of their apartments, which was excellent.

"A wonderful stay"

I travelled for work, and stayed 2 nights at the Blue Lion, with my young daughter. The room/ bathroom were beautiful, and my daughter particularly liked the little extras in the room (especially the eye mask!). The food was delicious, and the staff were kind and friendly. We will definitely be staying again when next in the area.

The Blue Lion is in a lovely village location & the rooms were clean & comfortable with everything you need. The continental breakfast offered a variety with ample tea, coffee & my favourite hot chocolate. We really enjoyed the food in the evening especially the fish & chips. The staff were very friendly & polite & nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend this place to stay.

The pillows were very uncomfortable & could do with being renewed but this was the only dislike of the whole stay.

The room was clean. Bed was comfy.

The pub was closed. Had to collect the keys from a shop across the road. The restaurant that was advertised was also closed on the days of my stay. Rooms were up steep stairs. Very unwelcoming and impersonal service. No fridge. Had to travel to get food in the evening. Only the one pub in the village and it was was closed along with the restaurant for my stay. There was no latch on the window to keep it open.
