Food and location were excellent. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable.

the apartment was excellent, staff at the blue lion were super friendly, also the locals were welcoming. all in all a excellent stay.

We were disappointed with the breakfast as unfortunately we had made a mistake on checking whether it was a cooked breakfast or not. So we didnt partake of the breakfast available. Lovely room, beautiful ensuite. Staff pleasant and friendly, the evening meal was delicious.

I had marked the search for rooms as off road parking , the parking was off road, but unfortunately across the road down a dark unlit area.

The only thing I would say is that as a business we require an invoice and sadly even though I requested when booked and have sent further messages I still have not received one.

Good spec room in a quiet location. Sufficient for 1 night's work stay. I think you'd have a better experience if you stayed on a night the pub was open - but equally this could lead to a less peaceful night I suppose.

Pub was closed and nobody present to help or explain how to check in. No instructions or head's up by email in advance. Notice on door was to get keys from the shop across the road. The lady struggled to open the door late at night in the dark and took me to a room that smelled awful. Looks like the smell was due to someone using the toilet of my room and not flushing. Didn't leave me feeling at ease about the cleanliness of the room. No information in the desk-leaflets about breakfast or how to check out. Seems like I was the only person in the whole property that night. Wasn't sure the main doors were very secure. Car park is more of a brownfield site across the road and behind the shop. Also didn't feel very secure.

Ideal location. Hot tub our main choice. We had run a marathon and this was a beautiful location, nice and private but close to shops & pub.
