"I would definitely recommend staying at Cat Ba Green Hotel."

We liked the location. It’s away from the Main Street. There is a lot of construction going on in the harbour. The hotel was quiet. The breakfasts were great value as was the vegan restaurant on the ground floor. The staff was extremely helpful in arranging scooter rentals, our bus to and from, as well as our boat tour of Lan Ha and Halong Bay. The hotel was clean but basic. If you’re looking for luxury this isn’t it. For us, it was great value, clean and comfortable.

Cat Ba bay is under construction, so it is noisy and unattractive. Keep that on kind when booking an accommodation in town.

Strategic location, nicest staff and good vegan restaurant. Perfect for our family and our trip… we even got very useful recommendations about where to eat and what to do in Ninh Binh, which was our next stop! Bonus: our kids spent nice times playing with Tom & Jerry, the 2 adorable kitten!

"Great service!"

The hotel owner was very kind and helped us book bus tickets for an even cheaper price than we could find online. We also booked a motorcycle for 100k a day. Due to problems with the ferry, we had to postpone our stay for one day. Luckily, the owner let us change the dates without paying extra, even though it happened spontaneously. Thanks for the great service!

Only thing we could complain about is the elevator noise, but as it was not frequently used at night, it was no bug problem.

Green hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful and the rooms incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was great and the two kittens were very cute and provided a lot of entertainment.

It was just a shame not to have a small side light and only bright top lights in the room.

The bedrooms were comfortable, the staff were really helpful and the breakfast was good.

At our time of travel the whole of Cat ba was being dig up. This wasn’t in anyway a reflection of the hotel, but it did impact our stay. I expect they’ll be done by now
