"You'll have to go down the street for a cocktail."

This hotel is very close to the Amtrak station, which is why we booked it. The room was fine, staff was very helpful but the bar was NEVER open.

"Really good for a hotel that is having updates done."

The room was clean and the staff was very nice. They are remodeling so one of the front doors was not working so you needed someone to hold the handicapped door open if you were disabled.

"Good for one night"

I booked this place by mistake as they do have long term rentals but my stay was quiet and uneventful. Room and bathroom were clean, but rug was dated and low quality and windows were very dirty. It felt a little jinky. The morning staff was super friendly and professional and the breakfast was very good! Even though I would not go back, I would say it ended on a great note!

A wonderful view of the mountains. Suite had everything one would need to enjoy their stay. Hot breakfast, fresh fruit or cereal and yogurt. Great choices.

"Beware of the trains!"

The hotel is in ok condition: older but decently maintained. The front desk staff is not very helpful; most just clock their time. Sergio was very helpful, an exception. Parking is $25 per day, despite the hotel being adjacent to a large, free public parking lot. The Emeryville Amtrak station is conveniently located right next to the hotel, making it very accessible if you are arriving by train. There is train traffic (both Amtrak and freight) at all hours of the day; avoid rooms with odd-numbered addresses if you are not accustomed to sleeping with train noise. Shockingly, front desk staff do not mention the presence of train noise; buyer beware.

"Great view of the train station"

My daughter is obsessed with trains. We stayed here because it overlooks the Emeryville Amtrak station and she could watch trains for hours both from the balcony of our room and with a short walk to the station. It was a great birthday gift for her.
