The Orchard Hotel Ukiah Wine Country Free Breakfast, Pool, & Hot Tub

Just needed one night since we were traveling through. Friendly front desk service. Clean room. Comfortable bed, couch and table area, coffee Keurig in room. Nice shower/tub with smaller than usual bathroom but it was very clean. Quiet atmosphere even though near a well-traveled road. Good breakfast options included with Starbucks coffee. Great price! Food options close by including delicious bakery just a few miles away called Sunny's. Excellent price!

Friendly front desk staff, Nice breakfast and dining area with with Starbucks coffee. Could of changed tv channel from CNN, as it had offensive material. Clean room, desk area, couch and table, comfortable beds and spacious sink area with coffee Keurig. Shower was great but smaller bathroom than usual. Other food options nearby with a delicious bakery about 5 minutes away called, Sunny's Donuts.

Loved having the coffee in the lobby when we arrived and the jacuzzi was great at night. Also happy I could bring my pet.

We have been on a long road trip up the Baja Peninsula and through Southern California over the past week. Ukiah was a chosen stopping place for us last night. We booked in to this hotel around 9PM, paid $120 for what we understood to be a 2 bed room. Arriving at the room we experienced issues from the get/go. It was only a one bed room but even knowing we had likely overpaid we were okay with that since the bed looked very comfortable and clean. Then we find we had nothing more than a trickle of water from the vanity sink and also the shower. I called the front desk and was told that there was work being completed upstairs on the water and if we waited it should be working for us after five minutes. Which it did. We needed to use the fridge/freezer to prepare us for the next day and found that the ice-packed freezer was dripping into the shelf compartment and the door. We checked to see if the temperature had been dialed down, but it was set correctly but not cooling or freezing. We dried the fridge out with two towels and placed our drinks inside. Checking after 15 minutes there was still melted ice water accumulating. Another call to the front desk had us waiting for their service person to come look at it. He determined that even though the fridge sounded like it was working properly it wasn’t. He actually came back to our room with a brand new replacement unit and installed it around 10:30. That same night. Once he left I had to use the previously used towels to wipe water from the floor. You guessed it… those towels were now dirty. I rinsed them as best I could. Now to settle into bed to watch a bit of Netflix. No such luck. The TV would show a minute or so of good image then flicker, pixelate and turn off. Thinking that the connection had come loose while the service person was installing the new fridge we rebooted the equipment. Still not working. Another call to the front desk to advise them of this issue. They apologized for our problems, but at least three times mentioned that the room was rented out the day before us without issue. This felt like the problem was us. I asked for another room and was told they were fully booked and they wouldn’t even adjust the price for us. Thank goodness the bed was super clean and we could have a nice hot shower the next morning. In closing, we have stayed in all kinds of hotels and motels over the last seven nights and paid much more and much less, but in comparison to all of those this one is at the bottom of the list. The only redeeming factor is the cleanliness of the bed, toilet and shower.

The Orchard is quaint and its price matches its insides. We had a large group and really enjoyed the 3 queen beds all in the same room, the hot tub, and the good location (we did have a car to get around). The staff are always willing to help out whether you need an extra towel or late check-in!

The breakfast is a mediocre hotel breakfast, but they have the basics.

This company was so clean. From the lobby to the bedroom the bathroom everything was organized tidy. Our room had a king size bed and a couch, which was so comfortable. We also had an office chair in there. We could sit on the couch and watch TV we didn’t have to sit in the bed. We stayed for three days so it was perfect. Of course the amenities of the refrigerator and the microwave were nice too. It was a large room. The breakfast was hot. Biscuits and gravy and sausage along with your usual choices of cereals and toast waffles. The staff was friendly and polite. I would stay here again.

The property is next to a mortuary. It didn’t bother me, but it may bother somebody else.
