Courtyard Boston Copley Square

I went to the city on a very busy time of the year and couldn’t find any of the hotels that I wanted so I ended up booking at the Courtyard Copley on Exeter Street and was pleasantly surprised by what an amazing property it is. It is super well managed, and the general manager is a true gentleman. I have already booked my return visit for July 4 weekend.

Good location but the hotel was subpar. The hotel is in a beautiful building but the interior is tired and bare bones. My room smelled bad but looked otherwise clean. The bath fixtures are old and leaked. The bathtub is very small and the drain plug did not work. Service was fine, but no amenities. Lobby at level of any two star hotel. However bed was comfortable; sheets and towels clean.

The Courtyard Copley Square is in a great location and I have always found it to be very clean with a great staff. I was able to check in early, which I appreciated, as a need a little down time between arriving from the airport and a meeting. Fenway Park and many other great Boston sights are within easy walking distance.

My first stay at the Courtyard Marriott Boston Copley Square was a very positive experience. I had booked two rooms for our party of five. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. We were very early for check-in and one of our rooms was available and we were able to get settled. Our friends were arriving later. They had arranged our rooms to be in close proximity of each other. The Valet was on point and helpful. This was true of our Valet at checkout and both Valets were friendly and respectful of our belongings. We were notified when our second room was ready, which was also earlier than the advertised checkin time. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The bedding was very comfortable and conducive to a great night of sleep. Although we didn’t utilize offerings for meals and snack purchases they were available. We appreciated the opportunity to leave our car in valet parking for a few hours after checkout enabling us to walk around and have lunch before heading home. Jean was gracious and accommodating and stored our luggage in a secure location while we enjoyed our remaining time. He was sure to put a ticket on each individual item and provide us with the stub. The location of the hotel and ease of parking through the valet option contributed significantly to our stay. A wonderful experience all around and we will definitely keep this in mind for our next visit.

The staff at this Marriott Courtyard was kind & sweet & helpful as Marriott staff always are, but the people behind the counter of this Marriott hotel at 88 Exeter St in Back Bay, Boston were exceptional. They gave me water & exactly the kind of room I asked for, made it easy for me to stay an additional day, went the extra mile to help me get taxis when I could not, made me feel like I mattered & what I needed was important, and always greeted me with a smile. I felt that men & women working in this hotel were putting themselves fully into their work, so marvelously that it has made a permanently positive impression on me. Thank You!

Cannot recommend this hotel Highly enough. Traveled with husband and 3 kids. There were two queen beds and a pull out in another section with its own door and tv. Quiet and comfortable. From the second we arrived, staff was friendly and helpful. Location cannot be beat. So much in walking distance. Right by newberry street. (Must eat brunch at landwer and friendly toast!)

I booked this hotel for a two night stay with my family of 5 for the pullout sleeper. Check in was pleasant. Upon arrival in our room, we noted how hot it was and quickly adjusted the temperature down from 73 degrees (it never actually changed temp). We noted the room was much smaller and darker than expected. We pulled out the "sofa bed" which was a twin size with a mattress that was essentially a thin blanket thickness over a metal rack. Our 13 year old definitely was too large to sleep on the pullout and even our 9 year old was uncomfortable. It was also noted that the headboard of the queen bed had a white substance smudged all over it. We called Expedia to see about cancellation as we had only been at the hotel less than a half hour and did not have a sleeping area for all of us. They reached out to the property and were told only the manager had the authority to authorize a refund and they were not in until 8am the next day. We checked out and into the nearby Westin. The next day we heard from Expedia that the property refused to offer even a partial refund even though we checked out after a half hour. I called the property and told them I would be stopping by to get my room key since I would be paying for the room and the women who answered hung up on me. I did not get the keys but did return to the property to physically ensure they had checked me out because the gentlemen did not the first time I turned my keys in. Please be careful booking this property- 950 wasted.
