Inn at Depot Hill

Quaint B&B up the hill from the town of Capitola. We stayed in the Paris room which was decorated very nicely. The bed was super comfy. Had black out curtains and nice size bathroom with 2 shower heads. Wine and cheese at 4:00 and breakfast served in our room in the morning. Our morning was pancakes, sausage, fruit and coffee/juice. Such a nice touch! The living room and parlor were very nice. Had a parking spot for us right in front. Easy walk to the town but away from any noise. Walking down to the town, there are multiple vacation rentals that are closer to the beach with decks/balconies if that is your goal. For some reason I thought they had a hot tub and they do not.

This place was a step into the past but I mean that in a wonderful way. We stayed in the Delft room with its beautiful Dutch blue Delft style tiles. Short walk to the beach and restaurants. Lots of things to do and see in the area so go explore but it was just wonderful to stay in our room and read a good book.

Bed was a bit stiff for my liking. Wish the private patio had more comfortable chairs. Street noise.

Beautifully renovated inn, rich in history, super location, wonderful staff, fresh-cooked breakfast, quiet, easy walking to beach and paths, clean and well-appointed rooms, lovely courtyard, close to Gayle's bakery (local favorite!) and bike rental.

Warm and welcoming. So close to everything.
