Nice breakfast. Lovely lady welcoming everyone at breakfast. Nice location. Beds very comfortable.

On arrival there wasn’t anyone at reception. After waiting for about 10 minutes I went to the gym reception to see if I could find someone to check me in. He then checked me in but failed to book me in for breakfast. I went swimming but there were not any towels available so I had to walk back to my room rather wet in the dressing gown. The TV wasn’t tuned. I managed to do this myself. After I left £7 was taken from my card ‘for a tip’. No one asked and I think it was a bit presumptuous particularly given the poor service i received (lady welcoming for breakfast being the exception).

The pool and restaurant

The ladies steam room was out of order and the sauna was small.

Lovely location and grounds. Welcoming staff. Super pool and spa treatment facilities which my wife enjoyed. Good breakfast and again lovely staff. Crown pub with great restaurant down the road better than hotel restaurant.

The restaurant area is not great as was some of the food which was underwhelming. No beers served on so called health grounds given wine and cocktails served. The bedrooms are small as are bathrooms. Overpriced for what you get. Treatments are way too overpriced even though my wife enjoyed. I think we pay to stay at a top end place that in reality isn’t all as it seems. Nice place but not that spectacular.

Everything about it was fantastic. The spa, gym and pool excellent.

Property itself is very nice and good spa facilities (apart from the pool being out of action and bedroom not very clean)

Pool was closed due to high chlorine levels (I had actually started swimming and had to be told to get out of the pool) Room was clean but the bathroom was not. Toilet paper still in the toilet (not flushed) and bathroom bin not emptied - still full of previous guests’ rubbish.
