Holiday Inn Beijing Temple Of Heaven by IHG

A great hotel at this price. Only thing is the location may be a little tricky to find. Neither does it directly connect to a subway station (which is by far the most important city-wide transit option in Beijing). Off the closest station, a 10 RMB motorcab ride to get to the hotel is better than taxi, which can be hard to get.

Near Temple of Heaven and the Pearl Market, but still either a metro or taxi ride away. Nice breakfast, clean rooms, good value for the money.

Stayed at this hotel on two different occasions. Staff were very helpful and professional. Hotel and rooms are newer, in good condition, very clean and comfortable. Cleaning staff did a good job of keeping the room clean and stocked. Travel size toiletries are provided. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that has western-style service and rooms, this is a good hotel to choose. The surrounding area is a local neighborhood (not downtown), so the streets are a bit narrow and somewhat crowded (if you are driving). There a few food stands and local vendors nearby...but all-in-all, the local flavor adds to the charm of the place.

never will I stay in that hotel again.

we booked 2 king-sized bed rooms but we were given 2 twin-bed rooms. 1 room was 'upgraded' but i saw NO difference from the other room. I dunno what has been upgraded except the floor level, 1 is on the 10th floor, the other was upgraded to 13th floor. we requested strictly 'Non Smoking' rooms but there're ash trays in the rooms. luckily there's no smell in the rooms. basically the hotel ignored every thing you requested while booking. room is clean and spacious. house keeping every day. price is reasonable. the location is not very good. 15-20 mins walk to subway station. a lot of restaurants nearby, but not sure it suits your taste. some staffs are not really friendly, they won't give you dark face but also no smile to you. i dare not to use the toilet at lobby but i was told by my sister it is not clean. will recommend only because of the price.

It is amazing how the staff if this hotel put their effort to help the guest. The only oroblem here is loccation, but the price icompensate the problem.

The place was great. The pool was beautiful (bring a swimming cap if you have it). Location convenient.

It certainly did not meet the same standard of holiday inn in the us. The room is very small. You need to pay deposit to rent wifi box for your room and get full refund late.
