The hotel was fine. The neighborhood is not easy to find some place for most foreigners to eat, especially past 8pm - there are many food places around, but my husband (who is the more conservative eater in terms of what and where (cleanliness) he will eat of the two of us) was not at all comfortable eating at any of the places. The front desk people were not very helpful in coming up with ideas (e.g., my suggestion would be to take the metro to dongximen (i think) - there are many options there)

swimming pool was closed! airport transfer was absent! air condition was absent! far from center.. everything else is OK!

Language difficulties in English is high at local restaurants. Vegetarian food is an issue (not here only in entire China!)>

We had never been to Beijing before, so chose the hotel based on its star rating and proximity to some of the tourist destinations we wanted to go to. It was perfect for us. All of the staff spoke English - they were very helpful. They also put us onto a great personal tour guide who after the first day, (since we loved chatting with her) we asked to join us on each excursion. The rooms had king size beds and were super comfortable. It wasn't the sort of location where you could stumble out to a coffee shop, but taxis are cheap and everywhere, so we thought of the hotel as simply a great base.

Love the rooms. Very clean and housekeeping staff very efficient. Food was good.\ Front desk staff and restaurant staff are helpful but it was a bit of a challenge to communicate with the staff. Hope they can require their staff to speak better English after all, their clientele isn't limited to Chinese patrons only. But will recommend hotel to friends.

Hotel breakfast is excellent and cheap. Upon arrival, inquire to order the breakfast special to get the deep discount. Excellent maid services. Subway station is about 2 blocks away with unlimited transfers. Pretty good walking distance to Temple of Heaven and you can enjoy the old Beijing Traditional Houses along the way. Lots of hotel amenities as well.

The hotel is OK for a short trip.

This hotel was all you would expect from an American brand: clean, friendly staff who spoke very good English, tour options, car/driver rentals to the sights & airports (for a fee), Western dining options, pleasant atmosphere, bathtubs & free internet in the rooms. However, the hotel entrance is in an alley behind the main street and taxis had a hard time finding it. Our taxi driver from the aiport had to call for directions.
