After reading some of the recent negative reviews, and coming all the way from the UK, I was very anxious!!…… BUT I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived, the hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff welcomed us and were polite and helpful 😀 even got a complimentary cookie on arrival which was a lovely touch. Yes, there is security inside the hotel but they were friendly and made me feel safe (the reviews complaining about security being in the hotel, should have taken a walk and looked at others nearby they have the same) Room was a good size, with a coffee machine, and good size comfy beds, nice hot shower too!! Another big part of my review were the staff that served breakfast, dinner and drinks, all polite and attentive especially JE what a gentleman… The hotel is walkable distance from all the attractions and although the area around it is so pretty, the welcomed calmness after the hustle and bustle is just what I need I recommend 🥰🥰🥰

Pros: Close to OLG Stage. Outdoor hot tub was pleasant, maybe a bit too hot. Friendly helpful staff. Cons: Room had an odour, but manageable. Two of three elevators out of service on arrival, so long waits. Indoor pool had a strong chemical odour, so we skipped.

This property is a bit further away from the falls and more on the edge of the city. Admittedly the surrounding area isn't quite so pretty (looks run down even), so when we actually reached the resort grounds I was pleasantly delighted to find how beautiful I found it. Very rich autumn colors. Quiet, soothing, and spacious atmosphere. We also got some coupons for dining and attractions in the area although we used none of it. There was one worker as security at all times at the doors when we stayed here. We could see the sky wheel and the Skylon from our window. The view was beautiful here too and although this hotel didn't have a view of the falls, we were able to watch the fireworks at night.

We goto Doubletree every year for a stay around memorial day weekend in May. We had 2 Room Reservations for May 23 Saturday made months in advance. Literally 2 days before our stay they called us and said all rooms had to be cancelled as they were re assigning rooms to a Group of natives who were relocated for that weekend and all our rooms were given to them. Its likely then hotel got a lucrative contract for hotel rooms. They didnt offer us any compensation or help to rebook rooms last minute. extremely poor service, needless to say we will NEVER stay here again. Beward before booking this hotel or you might find yourself in the same situation
