Villa Orquídea Boutique Hotel

This was our second stay at Villa Orquídea. We previously stayed in May 2025, and loved the experience. Griselda and the staff are so hospitable and accommodating. We were there on Christmas Day and received stockings full of goodies and cute socks! Breakfast was excellent and are also the only photos I have from our stay(!). Hotel and grounds are great. Location is nice and within easy walking to attractions, excellent restaurants and bars. Highly recommend.

The staff were so helpful and so willing to help. Breakfast was good and the small hotel pool was perfect for cooling off. We had 2 days when we had very early starts for tours and the hotel were so kind to prepare us the most wonderful healthy packed breakfasts to take with us. Good location not too close or too far from the centre of Merida

This place represented good value for money - perhaps the decor in the rooms was a little basic but we would stay there again especially because the staff were so wonderful.

Gute Lage und sehr nettes Personal!

The breakfast each morning was great. Always came with fruit and some sort of protein along with coffee and juice. Definitely saved a lot of money. Plus it was always made to order. They even had my oat milk available everyday. You eat at the long dining room table and that was great for meeting other travelers. Truly I don't think I'll travel another way now that I had this experience. Bed and breakfast for the win! Incredible staff. Super helpful. Very cleanly. Great location to walk on foot. I can't wait to come back!

The staff was exceptional and always offered coffee/tea with sweets and always clean drinking water available in the dining area.

Our 4-night stay at Villa Orquídea was great. The location is really good, it takes about 10min to walk to the centre of Merida. The staff was very nice. The large, single breakfast table for all guests is unusual but quite lovely actually. The opportunity to have free coffee all day from the Nespresso was very much appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Although the inner courtyard is really lovely, there's not a lot of space. The pool is quite small and there are just too few sunbeds unfortunately.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was delicious, especially the banana bread and the hot chocolate. There is one big dining table and the guests eat breakfast together. Griselda and Sonia were both lovely and arranged for us to have a packed lunch when we had to leave early.

It's a bit on the costly side for Mexico, but we did enjoy our stay and can't fault the hotel. For those travelling by bus be aware it's about a 30 minute walk from the main bus station.

Uns hat besonders gut der überaus hervorragende und freundliche Empfang und die Gastfreundschaftlichkeit insgesamt gefallen. Sowohl beim Check-In, als auch während unseres Aufenthalts bis hin zum Frühstück. Man war jeder Zeit erreichbar und konnte uns wertvolle (Ausflug-) Tips rund um Mérida geben - das hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Das gemeinsame Frühstück an einem großen Tisch mit allen Hausgästen lud zur offenen Unterhaltung ein. Das Interieur und insbesondere die Zimmer boten tolles Design und gute Ausstattung.

Leider funktioniert der Safe nicht, und ein kleiner Kühlschrank/ Minibar haben wir vermisst.
