The pool and hot tub are being redone, so they were closed. The ice machines didn’t work on 2 floors. The breakfast was well worth being extra!

"Unsafe and unprofessional staff"

Beware- the hotel is under renovation, which means workers will be there every day from 8 AM to 7 PM. There is a strong paint smell, new carpet, windows are covered in plastic for exterior painting, unfinished rooms next to finished ones, and entrances are blocked with ladders, work trollies, and construction materials. Yet, nightly rates are unchanged and free breakfast is not an option. As a solo female traveler, I was placed in an end unit that was surrounded by open doors to rooms undergoing renovation. When I asked the front desk to find me an alternate room, the clerk rolled her eyes, sighed heavily and informed me this was very inconvenient for her as she'd have to move people who hadn't checked in yet. After a few clicks of the keyboard, she said there were no alternatives, and my current room was my only option. In addition, the lock was removed from the side access door (as of 10:30 PM) so it remained open and accessible to anyone coming off the street. Others have mentioned this issue so they know this is a problem and leads to an unsafe hotel environment. Yet the problem persists.
