Courtyard Newark Liberty International Airport

This Courtyard is conveniently located near EWR with good discounted long-term parking. It is exactly what you'd expect from an airport Courtyard: Comfortable room with a bistro and good shuttle service to all terminals. I'll stay there again when I have a night before/after a flight at EWR.

We stayed at this property for 1 night before a long haul flight out of EWR. Being a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, there certain expectations I have from a 3 star Marriott branded property, which are also standard as per Marriott's guidelines. Unfortuntately, this hotel fell short of these: - No acknowledgement or welcome of the Bonvoy status at checkin - No mention of any of the standard perks that come with the membership. Not even a free bottle of water at checkin - Hotel and room (King Jr. suite) both looked very dated - Room was spacious but the bathroom was a hole in the wall (I had to step out of the way to close the bathroom door). - No complementary coffee in the morning downstairs by the lobby, I thought that every Courtyard had this as standard. It was probably because they have a 3rd party vendor serving Starbucks coffee right in front of the front desk and the free black coffee in the morning to guests probably cuts into the vendor's sales. Bad Business for both the vendor and this particular Marriott because guests like me will never step into this hotel again. - I think it would be too much to expect complementary breakfast after my point above about complementary coffee. I rest my case. On the upside, staff was polite in the evening of the checkout. At this point, I will take any positives I can :) Bottomline, I still like Marriott - just this property was a big disappointment.

Convenient location for an early morning flight. Shuttle service is great; easy to find and runs 24/7 every 30 minutes.

The staff were super nice and that’s about all the nice things I have to say because this hotel is such a ripoff; it’s not really close to the airport, the plumbing is terrible (had to switch rooms because the toilet didn’t flush in the first one and then barely worked in the second but gave up), the amenities are hardly existent, the list goes on. There’s like 5 hotels in this immediate area, I’d recommend you stay in any other one but this one.

The room was nice, quite big (spacy) and clean, The staff were friendly, and there is a free shuttle to the airport.

The breakfast is very limited, you have to order just one of the options from the menu, but it's tasty. The hotel is quite far from everything, to get to downtown you need a bug or taxi/uber, so not very convenient.
