We were on the C2C walk and couldn’t get in to The Lion Inn. What a treat to see Rosedale Abbey valley. Great views from the hotel and from their beer gardens. A true highlight of the walk. STAY HERE. you will be grateful. We rerouted with our app and had an amazing lonely walk to Grosmont. Only 11.5 miles.

Staff. Staff were great 👍

Neighbouring rooms, thin walls. Our neighbour ran the bathroom fan throughout the night. Very disturbing.

Visited with friends and their dog. Recieved a very warm welcome from the staff who were extremely friendly, helpful and very accommodating throughout our stay. The room and the bed were comfortable, the food was excellent with very generous portions in the evenings and a great buffet breakfast. Dogs were welcomed for breakfast and evening meals in the bar area. We really enjoyed our stay, would definately reccomend for location relaxed atmosphere and great service
