"Good hot pool, comfortable room, fun lake &,geyser"

6.0

The hot pool was relaxing. The geese and ducks residing at the lake were fun to hear, and then the frogs kicked in with their serenade. Definitely not a city experience, and we enjoyed listening from our comfortable room. No ice or hot breakfast. The geyser spouted every few minutes, and the staff was friendly.

"good rustic hotel"

8.0

The hotel is, to say the least, a little run down (out side needs paint, carpets are worn) but the room was clean and had all of the amenities of a Best Western i.e: shampoo, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, 2 queen beds and t.v. The place is set off from the road so there is no road noise or car lights. The towells were small and rough (Motel 6 quality) but we came prepared and brought our own. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and accommodated our 2 dogs with a small fee of $10 with no previous notice. With all that being said I still loved the place. Oregon hot springs can go from a hole in the ground with nothing else to some expensive hoity toity places that cost a fortune. The springs feed into a pool in the center of the hotel at 185 degrees and are cooled with cold water. When we entered at 5:00 p.m. the temp was like a warm bath; hot but not too hot. We were able to bob around for hours. In the morning they flush the pool with hot water so at 10:00 a.m. it was very hot; too hot for my 12 yr old son and husband but not for me. Bathing suits are required which is good for my modest 12 year old. My 12 yr old loved the place and gave it a 5. My husband loved the geyser (yes it still goes off every 5 mins or so) and all the little hot ponds and wildlife. I loved the freedom to soak and not feel like you were in trouble if you laughed. We give a 4.5

"Lots of character"

8.0

I liked the character of this hotel with its many antiques and vintage decor. I don't think a hotel needs to have new everything and be fully updated to be great. I had a room with a private hot tub filled by the hot springs water. It was very hot (but temp was adjustable) and relaxing. It's very nice to soak like that without the smell of chlorine. The staff was also extremely kind and accommodating and showed great customer service. There is also a natural geyser on the hotel property. The only negatives would be that the room seemed in need of a deep clean (walls and behind doors were dirty) and the heater was loud when turning off or on. I am not the kind of person to expect perfection or let small things like that overshadow the positives. I would definitely like to stay again.

"Basic accommodations, good price"

8.0

The accommodations were basic, but the price was right and the service was fine. It was just a quick overnight (in late, out early), so we didn't get to try out the hot springs pool. The room met our needs for a quick overnight stay.

"Quiet, but hot springs pool not available."

6.0

This room was okay, quiet, off the highway, room basically clean, but long dark hairs on countertop and in bathroom. Towels really rough and scratchy. The advertised Hot Springs pool was "being cleaned" and promised to be available later in the evening or the next morning. Not. Disappointing.

"Not a bad room!"

6.0

The motel was in its day very nice. It could use some T.L.C. Our room door had a dead bolt on it that didn't work, but the door itself did lock! There was chipping paint around the room, but no bugs! Over all not a bad room. Bring your own pillow, unless you like flat pillows.

"Good"

6.0

Not much to say about this place. It was an overnight stop for us on the way to Lake Tahoe, so booked cheap and got cheap. The place is run down and definitely in need of renovation. Room was clean enough. If you just want a place to rest your head for a few hours, you could try it, but if you are looking for somewhere more interesting, more attractive and in a better location - look elsewhere.

"Nice stay"

6.0

The room was clean. They are improving the hotel so the room i stayed in was clean and comfortable. The bed was not very comfortable but it worked for the 1 night I stayed. I wasn't able to check out the pool because it was getting painted. Overall it was just fine for the 1 night.
