There are many things to love about this property. The first was the warm welcome by the young woman in the wheelchair at the front desk. She was very knowledgeable about the area and helpful regarding Cook’s Children’s Hospital, which was the reason we were there. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and had real cotton sheets instead of the microfiber so many hotels have now. We appreciate having the extra beds with the sofa and the pullout as we were traveling with teens that are too big to share beds.

We didn’t have many issues, but the ones we had significantly impact the quality of sleep that we had while there. The first is that, even though it was very cold outside the day we arrived in the next day we were unable to cool our room down to a comfortable temperature. We prefer to sleep with it in the mid 60s. Everyone was hot and pushed off covers throughout the night. The next issue is that there was no way to keep the fan on consistently. It clicked on and off throughout the night. Lastly was how clearly we heard the traffic from the interstate throughout the night. In fact, it was the loudest traffic has seemed inside of a hotel for us in a number of years.

We chose this hotel for proximity to my doctor’s office and I wasn’t expecting much, but I was extremely pleased with our stay at SpringHill Suites. The staff were entirely pleasant and helpful. The facilities were clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The “snack room” had reasonable clearly displayed pricing. It’s very surprising that this hotel doesn’t have perfect ratings.

The shower heads are a bit hard to use to rinse long hair, but that’s a preference thing and easily something you can work around.

The beds were so comfortable and the room was perfectly clean and got so dark!

The road noise was slightly loud and you can hear every door slam near your room.
