Hotel Koenig

Bra hotell för övernattning på genomresa. Trevlig personal, lätt att parkera utanför och ok frukost

We were taking a Danube River cruise out of Passau and came in two days early to enjoy the city and have a buffer for unexpected travel delays (which we did not have thankfully). The hotel is very nice, right on the river and super convenient to everything, particularly the old town. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and a good size. I think this is the best hotel in Passau! The front desk was waiting for us and very helpful, the included breakfast was extensive and way better than expected, and they have a bar right in the lobby area. The hotel will also arrange a shuttle to pick you up for cruises leaving from the Lindau piers (there is a charge paid to the driver for this, maybe 4 euros each?). We made a single reservation for 6 of us in our group and for some reason they only told the shuttle that there was 2 of us so we had a bit of a fire drill making sure we all got to the boat at the same time. If I was to do this again, I would have each couple in a group make a reservation under their own name/room versus doing it as a group and relying upon them to make sure they have the total number right for the driver. It was not a big thing, but something I would do a bit differently next time. I wholeheartedly recommend the Koenig and if ever in Passau again I would not stay anywhere else! Note that the entrance to the hotel is right on the water side through doors that almost look like a secondary entrance. You can not drive directly to the entrance (which appears as the main entrance in pictures) that empties out into old town.

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The hotel location is ideal for boat trips and the Old City sights. Near to the scenic Rathaus, and a short walk to the Dom and plenty of bars and restaurants. Our room overlooked the Danube and was very comfortable, spacious enough and air conditioned. No restaurant, but a pleasant bar area. The staff were very welcoming and I thought the breakfast was great!, healthy and wholesome. Full marks from me!

Schönes, sauberes Hotel direkt in der Altstadt von Passau gelegen. Sehr nettes Personal, gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstückbuffet. Enge Parkgarage im Hotel mit wenigen Stellplätzen (öffentliche Parkplätze außerhalb des Hauses).

Pleasant, accommodating and welcoming; 3-star room with a comfortable twin bed in a 5-star Altstadt location and a nice breakfast.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Service. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. Die Lage in der Innenstadt ist top. Alles ist zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Immer wieder gerne.
