Nice amenities, friendly staff.

Food, location and staff.

Room cleanliness and some general maintenance was lacking.

The warm pool, the great view, great service, great food, comfortable rooms and the only recommendation is the hotel room should have included moorage for the boat.

All facilities were in good order.

No fault of Poet’s Cove, but it’s a bit isolated from other restaurants/pubs/commercial areas.

Awesome place! Loved it. Super beautiful surroundings and pools.. ate dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic! Service was also top notch. Love finding hidden gems like this !!

The staff was amazing and friendly. Amazing ocean views with beautiful sunsets from our deck every night. The only downside was our room is starting to show its age and could due for an updated remodel.

The setting and geography is beautiful. We really enjoyed the location on the beach especially at low tide. The resort itself however appears to need a good scrub and update. We did have a nice stay, but here are some of the things that surprised us given the high per night price tag at the villa… Cobwebs up high around windows/drapery and very dusty/dirty window screens Food found in pull-out couch/bed Stained carpets / furniture Couch/chair cushions worn out In twin bedroom… Bed frame and box spring didn’t fit mattress causing bed frame to jut out and cause hazard for shins. Bathroom fan emits a horrible buzzing sound from switch. Ants in the villa. Carbon monoxide detector sitting on mantle with batteries loose and not installed Limited parking and very dusty parking lot near villas. Hopefully in the low season these things will be addressed. The resort has so much potential if the management stays on top of things.

View off the balcony was nice

A band played one night - ruined the whole evening because we couldn’t sit outside & enjoy the space. Couldn’t even have the windows open. A private party guests were not informed about, to be able to make other accommodation choices. Guests at the marina were also quite upset but there was no consideration for hotel guests because it was a “private party” (but a public space?) The hotel manager offered no compensation & appeared to be disinterested in customers comfort. As an aside, the gym was not clean & there were plastic glasses (in individual plastic bags) in the rooms. Not environmentally friendly nor island friendly. Wouldn’t stay again as the cost did not meet the experience. Sadly disappointing.

Located in a lovely area. Buildings were nice, but looked like they needed some care - paint needed touch ups, fixture in hall missing, chairs could use reupholstering. Overpriced food. Didn't use pools, tennis courts, or other amenities.Other guests followed the quiet hours, so slept well. Sunsets spectactular!

Our stay at The Poets Cove was awesome and disappointing at the same time. Whatever was outside of villa 609 we rented was pretty awesome, with the pools, ocean access, walks and hikes, tennis courts and the restaurant serving probably the best meals on the island. The inside was a sad story of years of poor maintenance. The dishwasher was dead and the maintenance could not fix or replace it in the week we were there. The toilets required flushing twice to work properly. The carpets, furniture and curtains had not been deep-cleaned in ages, with visible stains and a musty smell lingering. The mattress was so lumpy it felt like sleeping on a camel’s back - definitely not restful. The decks, windows and siding have not been cleaned, covered in mold, dirt and grime that made meals on the deck unpleasant. The other problem was that staff appeared to be smoking tobacco (and not) right on the property. Yes I get they could be off-duty while doing so and they could be living in the same building but that did add to the experience. The units were not air conditioned so we had to keep the windows opened and breath with whatever the staff was smoking. For the management -- you suggested a discount and I suggested back that you use that money to finally replace the dishwasher which was gross and unsanitary. I hope you can report that the mission has been accomplished.
