"Great Hotel for a short stay"

10.0

An exceptional hotel in a very good central position, although the cost of breakfast which was not included in the room rate was a bit on the pricey side as was dinner in the two restaurants.

"Good central location with an imperial touch"

10.0

I stayed with my two children in room 203. The room was large and nicely laid out with lots of nice touches - strong hints of the building's former history in the decor. We loved the huge bath with jacuzzi and the bathrobes. Breakfast was not included in the room rate but was good value I thought with a wide range of options to choose from. Being the end of October we had fabulous sunrises every morning with our breakfast. We ate an evening meal in the Victoria restaurant (on the top floor) on the first evening and in the main restaurant (on the second floor) on the last evening. Service was good and the food was adequate but we had better meals elsewhere. The location was very central with most of the historic heart within easy walking distance.

"First time in St. Petersburg"

10.0

The Taleon Imperial Hotel is a true 5 star hotel. The hotel was once a palace, and still maintains that old world charm and elegance. The hotel has an ideal location, near most of the main sights. The staff was very helpful, especially Vitaly at the reception desk, and the concierge. The breakfast buffet in the Victoria restaurant was excellent. The restaurant staff was very accommodating. I highly recommend the Taleon Imperial Hotel if you are planning a visit to St. Petersburg, Russia.

"Close to must-see sights"

10.0

Hotel was excellent, full praise. Breakfast was expensive but there was a small restaurant next door which provided and excellent freshly cooked breakfast at quarter of the price. Most things in and around St Petersburg cost more than equivalent cities, beware

"Palatial, opulent, great location"

10.0

We had a fantastic stay at the Taleon, I highly recommend it. Natalia (concierge) was one of the best concierges that I've worked with, ever. Rodian (butler) was also excellent, as were all the ladies at the front desk. I had tons of restaurant resv and they were patient and accommodating. All places were great...Tsar (went twice, which I have never done before-best chicken Kiev, borscht, pumpkin soup, venison...nice live music, beautiful room, upscale but not stuffy, check out thrones in the loo"), Mix at W, Terrasse, and Teplo. The location is excellent, best in the city in my opinion. For taxis, tell drivers the hotel is on Nevsky (the street) / Moika (river)...some taxi drivers don't speak English. Our room was decent (5th floor) with a phenomenal and palatial bathroom with Hermes bath products. Our tour guide, Irina, was amazing and I highly recommend her. Natalia has her info. If you want to have an amazing experience, you MUST have a guide. I am a former tour guide and St P would be extremely challenging without a guide...Irina made a trip that could have been decent, absolutely amazing. I felt sorry for other people we met who didn't have a guide, they were missing all the special tours that only guides have access to in St P.

"It's not a hotel is a PALACE!"

10.0

From the moment the hotel car pick us up at the airport until they send us with a nice cup of cafe and a "WE WERE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE YOU HERE, IT WAS A PLEASURE TO SERVICE YOU AND PLEASE COME BACK TO OUR HOTEL", everything was perfect. The room, the restaurants the bars and the cars were excellent, but the best was the employees: the front desk, the consier, the batler, the drivers and the room service, and all of them spoke Ingles.

"Taleon Imperial"

10.0

The setting and elegance of the hotel immediately immerse you in the beauty and splendor of St. Petersburg.Convenient, centrally located and in walking distance to all major sites. Well appointed and with attentive service. Minor glitch with concierge over unexpected, and expensive charge for the use of a car when the boat trip to Peterhof failed.

"Eliseev (Taleon) Hotel Nightmare!"

2.0

Terrible experience. Very Russian noveau riche feel. You enter from the street through a security check where they take your passport and then through a bar. The staff look genuinely surprised to see a guest. You have to ask how to get to hotel reception. They do not have an agreement with cheaptickets so tried to charge me again for the room which I had already paid through your website. All in all, definitely would not recommend to anyone.
