Tesla MedBed Center, East Dubuque

Everything in the room was very clean and the temperature was very comfortable when we arrived. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the towels that we had to use were a bit rough..not very soft. Otherwise our stay was quiet and comfortable.

I booked twice, first booking got cancel due to some reason but no notification to us that it is cancelled assuming we booked we drop in the hotel. 2nd I booked immediately as my hubby acct was hacked. but Cary informed me she would cancel 2nd booking as well and insisted that I take a higher-range room, which I was not prepared for. First book got cancel I found this quite surprising, 2nd booking was more surprising as I booked then n thereespecially given Tesla’s high ratings. In my experience traveling to many places, when a confirmed room cannot be provided, most properties either offer an upgrade (reasonable) or at least make an effort to honor the original booking. Unfortunately, Cary was quite adamant and unaccommodating. On the other hand, the junior staff were much more welcoming and helpful, which I appreciated. This wasn’t the experience I expected based on the reviews, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Finally when god knows what is best for you I got a suite room in holiday inn and that was mesmerizing.

Everything was new nice neat and clean. First through my head, the AC didn't work. But the second, worked great. Friendly staff and quick to help.

I must say, we really enjoyed our stay in East Dubuque. We only saw a couple of other guests. It was very quiet and clean. It is an older hotel in need of some TLC on the outside. They need to write some checks for some landscaping service and some carpentry repairs. Then the place would look more appealing from outside.

Ease of room entrance

Check in was fast and easy. That, however is the only time I interacted with staff. The lobby is only staffed 9a-11p on weekends, so when we checked out, there was no one at the desk. Consequently, the free grab and go breakfast wasn't available. Room was clean, if a touch small. Beds are very firm and sit on a pedestal that can be an issue for knees in the middle of the night. I chose not to spend the extra $200 for a night of "healing energy" but I did read their propaganda/literature. The method by which this "energy" is generated is never explicitly stated, just that you too can take it home and not have to plug the source in. Probably wouldn't stay again, just because of the mattresses.
