Charela Inn Hotel

Peaceful, clean, quaint hotel with delicious food and friendly staff

This was our second time in a row staying at Charela. We love the beach it is probably the nicest beach on seven mile. The rooms are clean and well appointed. What we dislike about Charela is the lack of friendliness from the staff, especially the female staff. The cleaning ladies are very friendly as is the doorman. The serving staff however is not. The women do not smile, the front desk ladies aren't overly friendly, restaurant service is poor, with the exception of one older lady, not sure of her name, she was awesome. Restaurant prices are far too high for what you get but there are other options near by. The beach is well kept and the beach security is on point! I would stay again, I'm just more prepared for what to expect from the serving staff.

Was our first time staying at this Charella Inn and it was a great experience. This will be our new goto stay in Negril. The grounds are very well maintained, the service was excellent and the food was even better. All around an exceptional hotel right on the beautiful 7 mile beach!

Good - Best beach in Negril. Natural shade with lots of palms. Wide with plenty of room for seating. Service was good. Bad - My main complaint is that they need a restroom closer to the beach. Maybe near the restaurant. Currently, you have to come off the beach, walk past/through restaurant, cross the courtyard. That's too far.

Staying at Charela inn has been on my bucket list for more than 40 years. I just spent two glorious weeks there and highly recommend this for fun in the sun escape!

All’s well at Charela Inn. The staff is great, food very good, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is ideal.

Everybody is top shelf. The owner is there working and he is over 80. Ibslute the man.

Great value and location. It is a small hotel and restaurant. on the beach. The staff are the best except for a few of the younger restaurant waitresses who spend too much time looking at their phones. Front disk staff great and very helpful. Our room housekeeper was wonderful. If we need to change while she was there never a problem. The guys at the beach were always helpful and anticipated your needs. Our room needed a shower update, several times the water flowed over the floor. it was a bad design. We needed more lights in the room there were two bedside and one in hall. We had a great ten day stay I would strongly recommend it.

The Charela Inn is a great option two thirds the way up Seven Mile beach. Its location makes it fairly quite. If you are looking to party at night try somewhere closer to to the Negril township end of the beach.
