Piñon Court by La Fonda

Very disappointing The “king room with fireplace” did not look at all as advertised. No free standing night stands, just a little square of a shelf on the wall. The whole bed area was tiny with barely two feet between the bed, the fireplace and the desk. It was dark and suffocating. We are Expedia platinum and hotels normally give us one of their nicer rooms or a free upgadre, even when staying just one night. This was a downgrade. It was clearly too small for two guests, with two nightstand size drawers for two people’s clothing and just one chair. There were other little issues like no cups for coffee/tea or toiletries not being restocked. We reached out to the general manager but did not hear back. For the price you can find nicer hotels in the area with better costumer care.

Great location near the plaza. Room was large and comfortable. Parking was right outside the door.

There was a glass cover over the fireplace. It made it feel remote & the warmth didn’t really make it through the glass.

I love this little motel. It is well appointed, very clean, quiet, and reasonably priced. Although located in an area with government buildings (not the most picturesque), it is within walking distance of the extraordinary San Miguel Chapel and many good restaurants and shops.

I liked my room, although not enough drawers and closet space.
