Residence Inn by Marriott Potomac Mills Woodbridge

I love the kitchen and bring able to cook meals! They provide almost all the dishes you will need. The suite was neat and clean. I loved the division of the room and living room that was a first for us so I was able to shut the door and sleep while my fiancé watched the other tv in the living room! Bed was veryyy comfy I could have stayed a few more days lol!

My only complaint is I had a house keeping incident! The day of checkout my finance left early got work and thankfully I awaken around 7am and I latched the top lock of the door for safety. Around 8 something am I heard a barely tap on the door followed by an immediate opening and “oh sorry!” I was half dressed, that would have giving me ZERO time to get up or even answer the door and thank goodness I locked it otherwise I would have been awaken one and two exposed! Around 11:04 or so I got another knock from housekeeping and at that point I just felt rushed and in the way so I grabbed my things and just left! I thought check out was noon and I confirmed at the front desk when I checked out but maybe others have a different schedule!

The pillows were not supportive at all. I couldn’t believe they charged us for parking. It’s outdoor parking. Also, we didn’t know we would be charged. We notice the charge when we checked out. We were not informed when we checked in.

Our recent stay at the Residence Inn was nothing short of exceptional. The breakfast spread was simply divine, offering various delicious options. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the customer service provided by General Manager Maria was truly outstanding. Her warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and memorable stay.

This hotel was a disappointment and not at all up to the standards of a Marriott property. I am a Bonvoy customer and stay in Marriott properties at least 15-20 nights/year so you can trust that I have enough experience with Marriott properties to discriminate the differences. My stay here was for just one night. First, there were NO parking spots left in the Residence Inn lot after arriving around 9:00 PM. So, things started out poorly. I was directed to park across the street at the Marriott Courtyard and ended up having to park in the back a out 100 yards from my hotel to find an open spot there. After walking back, they gave me a parking tag to put in my car. Are you kidding me? They can F themselves before I walk back to put that in my car. Second, I asked for a room not far from the elevator. Ended up with a room at the far end of the hall. First thing I experience when I walk into the room, you turn on the lights and it looks like a Motel 6. The lighting is dim in some places, harsh fluorescent in others. They ended up giving us a handicap room which I absolutely hate. When I complained, I was told that was all they had left. Thankfully, the room was clean but the pillows were so soft that they compressed to the point of providing no neck support. The AC unit was loud. Sounded like a freight train going by every time it cycled on. The shower had extremely low water flow and, because it was a handicap room, the shower head was on a slide bar such that the head could not be elevated enough. I am fairly tall and had to bend down to get water on top of my head. Got out of the shower and the towels were thin and scratchy... like a cheap motel. All in all, won't stay here again. Maybe next time I will try the Courtyard across the street. At least they have parking spots.
