Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel Spa

This is not a 5 star hotel, maybe 3 at best - The rooms are dated, the buffet (€40) has a lack of choice and the quality of food is poor. The A La Carte restaurant Atlantico is good but very expensive. We arrived today and are trying to move hotels it’s that bad. For dinner I would advise to take a taxi to Albufeira for €8 each way it would be cheaper and better. Overall very disappointing.

Nice hotel but sadly really let down by the poor quality and prices of their restaurants. Loved the location on the beach. No shuttle bus as advertised on Jet2 site. No explanation at reception why shuttle not in service. Public bus service outside main entrance with regular buses. We used Bus/Ubers for exploring, not expensive but factor this is in. Handy for Aqualand by taxi, Vilamoura, Albefuira etc. Kind gesture of cake and fizz for my birthday was much appreciated and a lovely surprise to return to. Apartment had all facilities needed for a comfortable stay, good beds/pillows. Food we had at the pool bar,pizzeria or Atlantico was overpriced and lacking any attention to detail. Grilled chicken and chips was an ordeal to eat as instead of an expected chicken breast we received chopped up pieces of chicken I wouldn't normally eat and then had to be mindful of small bones which wasn't a pleasant dining experience. Halloumi dish - cheese was tasteless. Pizzas good but again feel they were pricey too. Don't bother with nachos, cheese was squeezy orange stuff and for 12 euros it was a small bowl of crisps really. Food in nearby restaurants was good and better value, quality. We tried Portobello across the road for pasta/pizza. Tatsumi up to the right about 8 min walk for great Thai food , RM to the left up street from hotel was Ok, other times ate in Albefuira or Vilamoura (Casa Mia and Next in Vilamoura marina) as good gluten free options. Hotel menu only had few gf dishes unless you like fish. Overall, we enjoyed the holiday but not sure would rate hotel 5 star as apart from food the pool loungers look grim as though they need jet washed and walking underfoot needs attention as many of the cobbled pathways need maintenance. Wouldn't return.

Os preços praticados nos restaurantes e bares do hotel são completamente desajustados/exagerados. Resolve-se não comendo no Hotel.

Bel établissement, propre et proche de la plage.

Manque de vie et d animation en soirée.

We had an excellent stay for one week at this hotel. We only had breakfast which was excellent but the breakfast room is very noisy with chairs being scrapped on the floor. The expensive restaurant called Atlantico was good one night but hugely disappointing on another night We were ignored for one hour and finally when the food and wine came, the food was cold.
