Ghent River Hotel

Geweldig locatie, goede bedden en fijn personeel.

The breakfast was very nice with lots of good choices. I think the eggs were not fresh though.

There was a lot of construction and our room was not so pretty or charming as the rooms on the photo. We had our windows face an inner courtyard which meant others doing construction or walking in a hallway could see into our room if we didn’t close the curtain; but if we closed the curtain we had no natural light.

The stuff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good, and there are many options. We had a family room which was huge. The bathroom has a separate shower and a bath which was nice.

I would add some lights to the room, but I guess it matches the old style of the rooms.

The room was so charming and fun- my family loved it! The charm made up for the lack of modern convenience.

The flush mechanism didn’t work after we pressed it- it didn’t return to original position. The hair dryer didn’t work and was very old. No convenient outlets for technology. The mattress on the main bed was not very comfortable- lopsided and thin.
