The Lancaster Motel

My wife booked a couple nights here and it was great. The front desk lady stayed after close until we arrived to check us in. The room was clean and recently updated. The decor brought you back to the midcentury and would recommend this motel anytime! We will be back soon.

The lobby was busy when we arrived but the person working the desk was friendly and quickly got us registered. Our room was clean. The sleeping/living area was renovated. The bathroom was not and could use some updates. Our towels and toiletries were in sealed bags. There was plenty of water pressure and hot water. The hotel was full the night we stayed but we never heard our neighbors. The price was much more reasonable than most of the area hotels so the value was good for the area. Shopping and restaurants were within easy walking distance.

We were looking forward to this 50’s vibe stay. The rooms have been renovated and are very simple. The ceiling is low - if you’re over 6’5” you’ll be brushing it! The ceiling tiles were dirty, and the bathrooms aren’t renovated yet. The water pressure in the shower was great. Every innkeeper and retailer is having a tough time of it and I’m sure it’s common to cut corners. The rooms aren’t soundproof. The rooms are dark. The outside seating is great, but both fireplaces were out of order and the area outside the room was littered with cigarette butts. All in all, didn’t meet our expectations but kudos for trying to make a go of it and bringing new life to a landmark motel.

The accommodations were clean. Bed was comfortable. Perfect location for our family visiting Santa’s Village. Fantastic owners! My family and I met Ruby and Brian the next morning when checking out. Our SUV wouldn’t start. The battery was dead. Brian was quick to the rescue! He went out of his way to get jumper cables and beat AAA to get us back up and running. Meanwhile, Ruby was so pleasant to talk to, kind, and gracious. She more than compensated us for an unfortunate, chirping smoke alarm part of the night. She did not hesitate to take care of us in anyway. Amazing people. Would love to visit again!

The hotel is under new management, the rooms are very clean and being updated. Everyone here is very friendly and will go out of there way to make sure your stay is a great one. When visiting Lancaster make sure you stay here you won't stay anywhere else after you stay here.
