Djorff Palace

Beautiful hotel in very quiet location overlooking the nile. Super design and very unique. Stayed only one night but would have stayed longer. Convenient free hotel boat to Luxor harbor.

The hotel is off the beaten track. No track or cars around. You're in the middle of nature. The building itself is stunning and the surroundings match the elegance. The views are relaxing and comforting. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. The location is good with easy access to many of the sites and attractions of Luxor and reception will plan and organise any excursions you want to partake in. Overall I loved and plan to go back soon.

Enchanting, peaceful hotel, with amazing service.

I accidentally left a small bag with important things in the hotel, when I called them 3 hours after I left the hotel, they were very honest and said, they had thrown it away as garbage ..... Also, there are so many mosquitoes that they can take you fly~```

A truly unique experience. Beautiful grounds and phenomenal staff. The food was great and the location was quite good. They have a water taxi that will take you to the East bank as needed.

Lovely hotel built in traditional style on the Nile ( West Bank) with a pool. We really enjoyed our stay here. The English lady who runs the hotel is very funny and she manages the hotel well. It’s a new hotel but it was built in a traditional style with the help of local craftsmen. The pool is fantastic! It’s located on the West Bank of the Nile so much calmer than the other side. The hotel manager gave us useful tips to discover the numerous sites in Luxor and she suggested a very good driver.

Beautiful and peace property. After a long day of walking around temples and noise. This place was a piece of heaven! A gem! I was greeted by the owners on my arrival, offered some delicious hibiscus tea! The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean and the atmosphere was so peaceful. I will definitely be going back there.

There were a lot of things we liked about the Djorff Palace and a few things we didn't. They offer a shuttle from Luxor International for $21 and the driver was waiting. It's about 30 minutes to the hotel because it's on the East bank and in a very rural setting. Don't freak out over the area. Check in went pretty smooth and they got our room ready before check in time. We booked a Saffire room overlooking the Nile but the description doesn't mention it's an obstructed view. The hotel, especially the lobby, and the grounds have quite a charm. Unfortunately there is bird poop running down the walls about everywhere. We could understand the outside but in the lobby too??? Breakfast was a typical Egyptian meal with breads, jams, fruit, olives and eggs made to order. It's actually more than you can eat and good. Lunch and dinner on the other hand share the same menu and it's not much for a lunch menu. There were no sandwiches on it the 4 days we were there and we elected to take the free shuttle across the Nile and ate at restaurants two nights. When we asked about the lunch member the workers actually said the queen makes the menus and that's what they make. The queen being Marina the owner. We checked out early in the morning and the boy at the front desk asked me how many sodas I drank. I told him I had no idea and it wasn't my job to keep track. We also couldn't exchange USD to Egyptian pounds. We were told only Marina could do that.

I appreciate the amount of space in the rooms and the decor and uniqueness of their design truly like being in a palace

The hotel is beautifully designed, all the staff are extremely kind. The check in was easy and the owners came to personally greet the guests. The hotel is located on the West Bank, and I took a car to get to the hotel in the West Bank which was hard for the driver to find. It would have been easier to take a cab to the Nile Queen Restaurant on the East Bank and call the hotel to take their free motorboat service which pulls up to the dock at the hotel. You can take their boat back and forth between the two side of the River when exploring the city. The have a nice restaurant and the food was delicious. Nice pool. The comforter and towel wasn't the cleanest; one of the towels had stains on it and I had an allergic reaction when trying to sleep, wasn't sure if that was the dust or sand in this area. I only stayed for 1 night so didn't bother letting the staff know but I'm sure they would've swapped out if I communicated this to them.
