City Express by Marriott St. Augustine

Location is very convenient. But was not the cleanest place to stay. Bathroom had hair in the shower and mirrors were splash with toothpaste.

No bells and whistles. Room was clean, easy parking. Just the basics which was all I needed

Checked in and the girl checking us in was rude. I asked about house keeping because their website says daily but a sign on the desk said every 3 days. She said “ well guess what? You can ask for that tomorrow” when my mom and I didn’t move she dismissed us. “ was there something else?” Our bathtubs was dirty and stained and the phone in our room was very dirty. We asked they be cleaned and they were. On our 3 day “ house keeping” he didn’t change the sheets just made the bed. He didn’t bring in fresh towels just hung ours up. And I had asked for a roll of toilet paper because we had run out. He didn’t put the new roll on he just left the empty one in place and left a new roll on the counter. Breakfast was unappetizing we only ate it once. And we had the make your own waffle because you could tell the eggs and sausage had been sitting there since the start. Back door only worked with our key to open it 25% of the time and again when we told the desk clerk she was rude.

Very loud ac in room tub had rust and drain very corroded. Hot tub not hot. Staff not friendly.

Our stay was so very awful. I have already let management know. I will let Hotels. Com know now as well. Very unclean. Breakfast was never filled. No toilet paper or Kleenex in our room. No working telephone. Nor a/c functioning correctly. Couldn't use any of towels. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable. Our stay should be refunded. I never have had such an awful experience in traveling as with this property.

No chair in the room. Lots of room with nothing in it. Blanket was literally torn in places. Bathroom was clean but carpet was filthy in main room. Cheap enough but I will spend a little more next time!

Wonderful place

The Hotel appears to be under new ownership and is currently under going some upgrades. The exterior is being painted and the landscaping is fresh and pretty. We were greeted upon arrival and our check in host was very friendly .We had an enjoyable stay here for 4 nights. It is close to alot of the tourist attractions and very walkable to several. There are two restaurants right there( a Mexican restaurant across the street and a bistro next door. We ate at both and they had good food). We parked our 53 foot semi truck/fifth wheel in the parking lot of the hotel as it was closer to the attractions and in some cases cheaper than the RV parks in the area, so convenient!! We would stay here again.
