City Express by Marriott St. Augustine

Hotel was really dirty, musty smelling and rain pouring in window. Carpet dirty and smelled. Will never go back.

We found mold in the room, Breakfast was a disaster, we had to go to the restaurant next door for a decent meal. Would not recommend this place

The property is going through a rebrand. I’m not sure what is was like before but the Magnolia Hotel on the pictures is not what you get.

The hotel room was messy and we could tell it had not been cleaned. You will smell an odor throughout the hallways. I was exacted for my stay but when we arrived in the room there were stains on the sheets and we could not use the bed. When we shared this information with management no one would get back to us. The breakfast was not continental but consisted of cereal and packaged muffins. I even reached out to management after my stay to give direct feedback and no one cared enough to call me back or even discuss our stay. Very disappointed.

We had an easy stay at Magnolia. It was relatively close to downtown. The staff was nice and welcoming. The hotel is on the older side of things and can use some refreshing. Nonetheless, it was ok for the price.

Location

Room was so humid the sheets were damp our clothes were damp and the toilet ran continuously.

The carpet is too old.dirty,dusty and has smoky smell,as well smells rooten,the bathtub was old and crusty.Rooms are not recommended for people with breathing difficulties.Room 214

The young lady at the front desk was welcoming and accommodating.

It was much further than walking distance than anticipated and advertised. There was a giant, live cockroach in our room.
