Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Marion

When we checked in, we were informed that the room keys were not working. So each time we returned to the room, we had to be escorted by staff member with pass key to let us into our room. They were very helpful. When we checked out I was told there was a charge on my bill, which they refunded when I told front desk that I had booked reservation with Hotel.com and had paid in full in advance.

The workers were excellent. But the door way to the lobby was covered in snow and ice. I asked if they could spread some salt on it but it never happened the two days we were there. I will always stay at Fairfield Inn when in Marion.

The staff was wonderful. Check in was a breeze. They were attentive and accommodating.

The property reached out to me sending an email asking about my stay… I sent the following email and mentioned the issues we had … but when we were at the hotel we were sleeping or running quickly in/out since we drove in for a funeral … i was told well you said nothing when you were here and could have fixed the issues. Lol i just think it’s laughable. We checked out 2 hours ago and was told nothing could be done — Hi there I could not give a 9 or 10 based on our stay. There was hair in the shower and on the sink all the way up in the right corner (behind the soap dish), and the shower was broken. We tried multiple times to pull the knob, but water still sprayed out the bottom and did not fully transition to the shower. It was still shooting out the spout. The tv remote is missing the back and if you set it down the wrong way the batteries would loosen up and you had to push them back in to use the remove again. The hotel also smelled like a sweaty sports team was in there before us— our relatives 2 rooms did not have the same stench Was also kind of noisy at times Room 212 If you stay here READ THE REVIEWS…. If i knew people mentioned the musty smelling rooms i would have opted to stay at country inn and suites which was nice during our last stay — we visit a couple times a year due to family … we will never choose this hotel again — The customer service in the end is also a factor at this point
