Pacific Resort Rarotonga

We arrived at 10 pm after a long flight, and the staff was so welcoming - and ready to get us checked in and to our rooms. We were thankful for this! Our second floor room had a great view, and it was fairly easy to get down to the beach. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling right there! The staff was great. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails while there. Massages at the sofa were great.

What an amazing place to stay. We were in one of the beach front rooms and specifically asked to be upstairs which they accommodated. The rooms are incredibly clean and well maintained and the beds are super comfortable. With the doors closed they are completely quiet with no noise transfer from the other rooms. The view from the balcony is stunning and they are pretty private from the neighbouring balconies. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They really made our stay perfect. Tiree at guest services and Aunty at the restaurant breakfast were a highlight. Location is directly onto the beach with the shallow lagoon right there. We snorkelled and saw turtles as well as hundreds of fish right there. The canoes and paddle boards are free to use and plenty of them. Location is great with restaurants and bars all around. Charlie’s is and really nice walk down the beach, the sailing club and night market are right there.

Location, friendliness, service

One of our most relaxing stays. Beachfront Suite was clean, well kept and located steps from the lagoon. Sandals restaurant was excellent for Dinner. Best restaurant on the island in my view. Food quality was great. Buffet breakfast small but sufficient. We had the option to order a cooked breakfast to go along with buffet breakfast which we also enjoyed. Hotel provided free of charge refillable filtered water stations, kayaks and guest laundry services which provided another great benefit. Special mention to Zee and Sisi for their excellent customer relations, you made us feel very welcome. We look forward to returning soon.

Pacific Resort was absolutely awesome, the location was set by a truly wonderful lagoon. The staff are first class, warm and welcoming. The accomodation was spacious and well appointed. Rooms were serviced regularly by the Team. The restaurant served delicious and varied snacks and meals and the cocktails were different each day. Happy hour was split into 2 times so you wouldn't miss out. There is an Avis car rental situated at the resort so if you want to hire a motorcycle or car then that's an option for you. Me and my family had a great time and would certainly visit again. Thanks for looking after us during our stay 🙂

First, the good: our room was beachfront, beautiful view of the lagoon with a balcony. Bright and comfortable room. The location is probably the best on the island because the beach is nice, the view is pretty and there are many nearby restaurants. Staff was friendly. Room for improvement: while the staff is friendly, there are so many things that could be done better. Not nearly enough loungers on the beach; they "bond out" the towels to you, so you get one daily beach towel. For the price, maybe they could trust people with towels? It gives the feel of a low-rate hotel that doesn't trust you. Similarly, though trivial, hangers in the wardrobe are the ones stuck to the plastic thing so you can't steal them. Again, really-- at a hotel they consider to be 4.5 stars? Bathroom towels are also meted out very stingily. Not consistent with a luxury hotel. At the breakfast, do not try to order cappuccino-- they just don't bring it out. You can order it, but you can't get it. Finally, after five days here and five days at the sister resort in Aitutaki, I requested a late checkout. I requested two extra hours. They could not grant it. So, stay here for the view but don't expect the level of service that is ordinarily expected from a 4.5 star hotel.

Friendly staff and nice clean room. Staff helped with organizing tours and spa treatments. All the staff always greeted us in a very friendly manner

We have stayed at Pacific Resort in Rarotonga many times, and thoroughly recommend them. Everything is of a very good standard, the grounds are very well maintained, the staff are amazing and friendly, and the location at Muri Beach is second to none. The restaurant/bar team are awesome and I'd have to say their steaks would be right up there with the best I've had, anywhere! Highly recommend Pacific Resort Rarotonga!
