A great stay!

Fatima is the friendliest and best kind of host you can imagine. If you're looking för a budget stay in Fez, this is well worth it.

Very beautiful and genuine place, with a nice common space and a special, very traditional and cosy vibe. The maroccan breafast prepared by the owner is really good, and they also offer the possibility to have traditional dinners there and a taxi service to take you from the airport to the Dar at a fair price. They are also very flexible with the check-in time, so that was really helpful for us.

Walls are very thin and the window in our room (that connects with the central common space) didn't close, so intimacy is a bit poor and sounds are not well isolated; for example, in the morning we woke up to other guests speaking in the common space. Also, the bed matress was hard. The bathroom-toilet is a shared small room and was not the cleanest...partly beacause the shower doesn't have a separated installation: it's just a sprinkler/shower head in the middle of the bathroom, so the floor was sometimes puddly... These are not super grave things, but they do affect to the comfort of the experience.

Very communicative before our stay, good location and someone waited for us at the Blue Gate to guide us to the house. Simple homemade breakfast. Great to meet fellow travellers as you will have breakfast together and the price is good.

Instead of three single beds, we got a double and a couch that wasn't comfortable to sleep on. Furthermore, no bed sheets under the duvet and not enough towels for each of us. The shared bathroom could have been looked after more often, in the afternoon the bin wasn't emptied and no toilet paper was added. Be aware that the room is facing the inner courtyard, you hear the noise in the house and smell what's going on in the kitchen. The room door cannot be locked and the air in the room gets stuffy when the doors are closed.

On a eu de la difficultés a trouvé l'hébergement, arrivé sur place nous nous sommes aperçus que la chambre était trop petite pour 4 personnes ,pas de place de rangements la propreté de la chambre laisse a désirer, on a trouvé un cafard aussi , il n'y avait pas de draps, nous sommes très déçue de cette hébergement et ne reflette pas les notes, les photos ne représente pas la réalité et les lit sont très dur

The family Is super nice, Fatima is a wonderful host, when you arrive you immediately feel at home. Highly recommend!

Despite initial difficulty finding the place at the first time, the overall experience staying here was great. Ahmed proactively contacted me via WhatsApp and provided useful instructions. His entire family was welcoming and when his Mother learned that I couldn't stay for breakfast, she offered to cook me dinner. That was best couscous I’ve ever tried in my life. Amazing hospitality, clean and safe place to stay while in Fes. Certainly recommended to others.
