Club Wyndham Durango

The resort is so clean and staff is so friendly and helpful. It was the perfect location for restaurants, shops and the Durango and Silverton train.

My husband and I just completed a 6 night stay at Club Wyndham Durango. Jennifer and Danzig at the front desk were helpful, fun to talk to, and efficient at the front desk for check in and out. Our room was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and liked the mattress being totally encased so no problems noted. Loved loved the roof top hot tub. We didn't mind the extra walking involved with 5$ parking at the transit center. We were there during Durango's Snowdown and the parade and drone show were fantastic. Especially loved the Saturday am Balloon mass ascension. Many great places to explore that are just a short drive away including Silverton, Colorado trail head, Canyon of the Ancients, the train museum, and Aztec, NM ruins National Museum.

Good location to downtown restaurants and activities. Helpful, friendly, professional staff make this an excellent choice when staying in Durango. Special thanks to Alex who is always super helpful with any requests from the resort guests.

Brilliant facilities. Great having own kitchen and balcony. The communal areas were well maintained and presented. Pleasant and friendly staff. Location is great for exploring downtown too.

$16 per night parking is a little excessive for paying guests.

Absolutely nothing.

There's nothing fancy about this Club Wyndham, but it checks off all the positive boxes for a small comfortable resort. It's closer to a 4.5 star rating. (We used RCI points so I can't speak to the $ value, but it felt fair to us.) The location is fantastic -- Right on the edge of the downtown, very convenient to the train, plenty of parking (altho with a daily fee), within easy walking distance to historic downtown Durango, and a generally quiet location (although we stayed in a shoulder season). We didn't even notice the trains that others mentioned. (They must either be hitting the sack really early or sleeping in late.) Having access to the indoor pool in the sister facility across the street was a nice option. And the rooftop jacuzzis were used a few evenings. The staff is super friendly, helpful and efficient. Every one of them was happy to give us recommendations, suggestions for our explorations in town. We didn't have any problems or complaints but I feel they would have handled them efficiently if we did. Rooms are a little oddly shaped with basic functional furnishings... for two people. I would not recommend for more than a couple as the sofa bed would take up most of the "living" space. Having a full kitchen was convenient and more than adequate, though we barely used it as there are plenty of places we wanted to go out to eat. Generally very satisfied with the room and resort amenities. Only negatives are minor-- Short delay on checking in as room wasn't ready, and when we did enter, it smelled strongly of disinfectant cleaning. Never could get TV to connect to my phone, but didn't plan to watch much anyway. Construction across the street starts early morning, and occasional beeping delivery trucks backing up in the morning are irritating. Not much sound-proofing between units either.) With a caveat about their planned construction work early 2026, and the eternally on-going work on the building across the street, we would definitely recommend Club Wyndham, and would stay there again if visiting Durango as a base for exploring the region.

This property was convenient to lots of adventures, but what made it particularly special was the team at the property. The front desk crew was welcoming, engaging, and truly genuine in wanting our stay to be pleasant. KUDOS!

Staff is very friendly and check-in was easy. The room was spacious and clean. The jacuzzi was my favorite amenity! The train station, gift shops, and restaurants are just a little walk from the property. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a very nice stay. Great location, good amenities and a nice staff. Room was nice, quiet, but a bit in need of a refresh. A small snafu at checkout but the staff was helpful and attentive. Overall great a stay.
