Watarase Onsen Hotel Yamayuri

Perfect onsen experience

The private on sens which they had 4 so plenty and very nice. Breakfast was also nice but it's the natural and nature setting that was very nice, central enough to have all the mod cons but on the other hand remote enough so you felt with nature and quiet. Staff was very nice and helpful too. There also is a good laundry opposite that washes and dries, was very handy to use after many days on the road. Night is also colourful with very lovely light display was a surprise.

Nothing is was a great place to relax and feel with nature.

Beautiful location fabulous onsen. Private onsens easily available and included in the booking. This is a lovely classic hotel. The staff are helpful and very friendly. We didn’t book any meals but there is an on-site cafe that served reasonable good quality meals. The bridge over the river is lit up at night looks so pretty.

I booked the meal at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner. Absolutely delicious.

The location and room were great.

The staff didn't speak English, so we communicated using a translation app. This made it a bit confusing to navigate the town and facilities. I can't blame them for this though since mostly local tourists seem to come here. Ultimately it wasn't too big of an issue, just worth noting.

4 nice private onsen are available with no need to book in advance; otherwise public onsen is available nearby the hotel. Good and large dinner. Old fashioned structure but with onsen and dinner was a very nice stay.

Amazing public and private onsen. Beautiful and clean room. Kind and friendly staff. Would highly recommend staying here.

A classic Japanese hotel! Private onsen was a wonderful experience!

Dinner and breakfast is not included with the room! I've read about the dinner not being included, but not that you have to make a reservation. So unfortunately when I arrived dinner was fully booked. I did not know that breakfast wasn't included. So I had to make other plans, and had to skip hiking for that day which I needed an early start for.
