Rodeway Inn Encinitas North

The location was near the beach and near a coffee shop.

This was the worst motel I have been in. The furniture and amenities were subpar. Noisy place soI didn’t get much sleep. Thin walls. Clerk was abrupt and refused to allow me to check in early. Not very clean or kept up. See photos.

It was convenient, along the way, and inexpensive. Bed was comfortable. Floors were clean.

The bathroom was old and the tub gross. Stained and dirty. We wore flip flops in the shower. The bed covers were stained. Definitely dated.

Check in was quick, the front desk was very polite and upgraded me to a king suite that was still in process. A fantastic room! When it is done it will be super --it had lots of great features like a full kitchenette and an auto nightlight under the bed that goes on when you step out in the dark. The bed and bathroom were comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean, the wifi good, the premises were very quiet at night. You can't hear between rooms. I especially appreciated the fridge with a freezer compartment, as I make this long road trip through San Diego yearly and carry perishables. Also excellent restaurant Fish 101 right next door. I stop in this general area every year because it has easy access to the highway, gas and restaurants and near the water. I really appreciated how they are working to upgrade their premises. Would stay at this motel again!

Everything was perfect for a night's stay. Perhaps a coffee maker in the room or lobby for early morning departures? Not really necessary, plenty of coffee places nearby including the great 7-11 that also has the cheapest gas in the area.
