The property is a golf resort and event venue. We were there for a wedding and the atrium of the property was lovely for the event. Accommodations were convenient and nicely appointed. Property is well maintained and very comfortable.

The property Give you very easy access for golf and the facilities at Carter Plantation. We have stayed here several times, but villa 502 needs a major cleaning. It was very dirty inside and out.

This place is a little off the beaten path - but that can be good. About 10-15 minutes outside of Hammond proper. It was peaceful and quiet. It sits on a golf course, so there is plenty of safe walking area. Our room (the Ensuite) was fairly small and though we had an outside deck, we looked straight into another building/rooftop. There is no room service or after hours staff. The bar/restaurant is not too bad - bar food - But the service people there and in the Pro Shop were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, they close quite early - 6 pm - so you can't stop in for a nightcap. Overall - a nice place that appears best suited to golfers (of course) or those wanting to be away in a quiet area.
