Hotel Chand Palace

Estuvimos en este hotel con una amiga en febrero. En principio, nos dieron una habitación sucia y no habían cambiado las sábanas. Nos asignaron otra limpia y más bonita después de un reclamo. Pero el problema principal de este hotel es su gerenciamiento. Quien lo maneja tiene una agencia de turismo y HARÁ TODO LO POSIBLE POR ESTAFAR AL TURISTA EN CUANTO PUEDA. Nuestra experiencia fue que solo por pedirle un mapa de la ciudad al personal del hotel fuimos derivadas con el gerente, quien antes de darnos el mapa, trató de asustarnos para que le compráramos a él todos los servicios que vendía. Finalmente, nos estafó con unos tickets de bus a Jaipur: en teoría nos vendió un servicio de bus turístico que no existió. Los conductores nos bajaron en mitad de la carretera y nos hicieron subir a un micro público en el que nadie hablaba inglés y no sabíamos a dónde se dirigía. Por este servicio terminamos pagando, por lo menos, 4 veces más el valor real de los pasajes. Recomiendo mucho cuidado a los viajeros. El hotel es pasable, pero NO COMPREN AQUÍ NINGÚN SERVICIO QUE LES OFREZCAN.

The hotel is located in the heart of hotel central, and it is one of the nicer hotels. Customer service was excellent, our room was clean, we had hot water (although it took like 10 min to heat up), we had AC that worked, and a flat screen tv with cable. Good and inexpensive room service.

Not every room is the same. for example, there are mildew on the wall in my room.but the room he led me to see is better. The sheet and blankets are dirty and have stains (this is a very basic requirement). The TV is not flat screen LCD-TV as shown in the picture. service of the reception is not very good. In conclusion, it's not worth the money.

Rooms were not very clean, I had to get my room changed,sheets were not clean,breakfast was ok..becareful about buying travel package from them, they will rip you off especially if you are a foreginer.Go to small tour company on araksha rd you will find many. I went to RS tours they gave me a good deal.Hotel chand Palace staff were nice but the managers were really bad,the managers have to be trained about customer service,Always found them manager sleeping on the sofa full blanket on.For the same price or less you can find better hotels on the same street. I think you can stay there one day and look for better place near by. Hope this helps.

Comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

This hotel was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the night desk clerk was my favorite and always ready to help. Our hotel room was extremely cold but thats to be expected I think, as they don't have central heating as most places don't in India and we happened to be there during some record cold. They did however provide us with many extra blankets to make up for it. The neighborhood is fine as there are tons of hotels and people around. It might not be the quietest street, but its clean, comfortable and safe.

I have being staying here a few night almost every year for last five years and things have only changed for better in these years. I travel alone and my priorities are closeness to railway station, airport, a vibrant area and economical rates. This place is 10 minutes walk from the railway station and less than an hour from airport with a travel desk in the hotel, lies in between DBG and Arakshan roads and has had reasonable rates till now. But the cleanliness of room is definitely not good and the staff are not very polite either. I would not consider staying here if I was not traveling alone or if I had to stay for longer than a few days. Their room service food is quite good but again the service staff aren't efficient or even trying to be efficient. In my last stay, the room had a distinctive stink and the AC was left switched off despite me paying extra for an AC room. My request to send a room freshner was never met despite an initial prompt yes. These probably give a picture of why this might not be the best choice for a long stay. At the very rates charged by the hotel, one can get cleaner room with more friendly staff but I doubt it would be close to railway station or have such a vibrant area right at the door step of the hotel.

hotel is fine for what it is. its cheap and in a good location. only gripe was that there were no sheets on the bed, only a blanket which hopefully was clean. so if you do go there, i would suggest you take some sheets with you

For the price it is a good deal, rooms sufficiently nice, folks are friendly. However, lots of outsdie noise so you'll hear it in the rooms. And forget the supposed "free internet" which is one computer in the lobby for 60 rs per hour.

Wem die Slums in Suedafrika und die Bronx in New York nicht genug sind sollte in diesem "Hotel" einchecken....
