GOOD town GOOD motel

Basic motel, located near interstate 57. Quiet

property is very good

train making lotta noise with the horn  that’s the really big problem for this property 

The location was good. The staff/owners were very friendly, just difficult to understand.

While the hotel was relatively clean, I was disappointed to learn that there was no working smoke detector in our room (it was disconnected from the ceiling) AND the emergency exit/rear parking lot exit was non-functioning. It could not be opened by me or hotel staff. Safety was a concern during my stay. The hotel associate who attempted to check us in was unable to complete the transaction. I believe she mentioned that she had only worked the system for 15 days. She was potentially one of the owners who may have just acquired the facility. Unfortunately, English was a second language for her so some of her comments were lost in translation. She allowed us to check in even though our check in process wasn't complete. Ultimately, her husband arrived later in the evening and was able to complete the transaction.

Front Desk Staff very Nice! This place is very convenient to food places, and gas stations. Our room was pretty good size with microwave and frig. Heat and air worked great.

Needs improvement as far as cleaning the rooms. There was hair on the bathroom floor that wasn't ours, and walls had what looked like splatter of dirt (bathroom) and dried blood (by mirror in room wall) on them. Beds are ok, not hard as a rock but not the softest either. Floors were no carpet in room just wood lanolin so they were cold on bare feet. Walls are a bit thin, easy to hear people coming in and out of their doors and walking around. Otherwise, was decently quiet. Also very strong smell of Marijuana coming from rooms when walking into the hall to go to the rooms.

Location was excellent. Front desk attendent was wonderful, very accommodating. Clean room, comfortable bed. Loved the no carpet dog room.

The tub could have been cleaner. Ring around it, it was hard to see until you were really directly across from it. I just showered.

While booking on Expedia, we chose to pay at the hotel. Expedia gave us a total price of $65.71. However, when we checked in the hotel charged us $68.00 . We know $3.00 isn't much, but we should not have been charged more than Expedia told us. Also, the room was totally bare bones, with no extras, such as a padded chair, dresser or even carpet. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Close to restaurants

Too small the bathroom.

If I was in this area longer I would make my whole stay at this location. Lots of food on the same exit. The staff was very friendly.
